O'Connell's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Rennes

A cute pub in the center of the city in the square of the Parliament of Brittany. The place is bright. Nearby an interesting shop of special Breton souvenirs. The pub itself offers excellent beer, a good menu. In the afternoon it is not filled very much, so there will be enough places even for a considerable company of tourists. In the evening, they say, it's rough and places may not be enough. For the Irish pub is quite comfortable. The waiters are friendly. There is no parking near the pub. We found this Irish pub(the husband likes his Guinness) and after a fabulous seafood dinner elsewhere, we enjoyed a Saturday evening observing the night life! Shoutout to the bartenders Rory and Alice!!! The following day was my husbands birthday and Sunday, which in Rennes means not very many places are open for dinner. We thought we would give the pub food a try, but their kitchen was not open on a Sunday. An island of beautiful mood, happiness and real good products. Being there during a very quiet moment, around 3pm so no rush and pleasing time between the staff and customers and friends. Music is light and comfortable. I cannot talk in french (yet) so I also find a very warm welcoming place.
