I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Berbere , a traditional Algerian restaurant, and the experience was truly memorable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with décor that beautifully reflected Algerian culture. This is a beautiful authentic family run place. We were lucky to stumble across it and it was the perfect end to our holiday. Our youngest was very happy with chicken and chips from the kids menu and we enjoyed a combination of tagines and a lamb grill. It was tender and full of flavour. Accompanying the meal we chose a bottle of Algerian red wine, which was both delicious and a first. We live in France and eat a lot of great food. This place really hit a home run with us. First of all, it’s owned and operated by the nicest family from Algeria. They really bring the taste of their homeland to Saint-Malo. We had the lamb tajin and it was fantastic. It was so tender and tasty as it was filled with dates, apricots and vegetables.
