Indiana Café - Strasbourg — Restaurant in Strasbourg

We ate here yesterday and I must say that I was already disappointed that they didn’t have an English menu. I understand I’m in France but everyone here has an English menu and this restaurant being called Indiana Café, you’d kinda expect that… we ordered a lobster roll and Argentinian steak and my man was very disappointed in the lobster roll as it was very cold, the bread/roll didn’t taste fresh. It should’ve been toasted… the salad look blank and not very pleasing… the Argentinian steak I’ve ordered without French fries but instead I ordered green beans. I don’t know why but they still gave me French fries. This already ruined my vibe. When they came back they apologized for the incident and served me the food. I’ve never had a steak this bad before. The steak is not juicy at all.. It was cooked too long that the outside was very dry and tasted burned/overcooked. The inside was medium yes but the steak was cold … the salad was blank and didn’t look pleasing and the green beans very not enjoyable either as they were very soggy. The steak had no flavor as the seasoning was missing. I don’t recommend anyone coming here… it is indeed nasty food 🤢 we took 2-3 bites and left… wasted money!

Edit to response: The staff barely spoke English so it was hard to communicate. I did claim the false order and the staff made sure to deliver the right food but it was just not good in overall… I didn’t want to pressure the staff as they were already overwhelmed with the language. Je pense connaître tous les endroits où manger entre le centre commercial Rivétoile et la presqu'île Malraux et quand un nouveau ouvre avec une publicité attractive, j'y fonce pour changer mes habitudes de déjeuner. Donc direction L'Indiana Café. Une belle vitrine posée entre les tours Black Swan dans ce quartier en devenir, on se croirait presque dans un quartier d'affaires londonien... À l'intérieur, une salle immense et quelques jolis billards, l'ambiance fait tout pour rappeler les Dinners US, idem sur la carte du menu... Salades, burgers, plats Tex Mex, les intitulés mettent l'eau à la bouche... Mais malheureusement, la bonne expérience va s'arrêter là, sèchement et nettement. Mon fils commande du poulet Chicken BBQ et hérite d'un Indiana Chicken Burger... Malgré mon insistance auprès de la serveuse (qui en fait est la responsable) elle me confirme que c'est bien ce qu'il a commandé... Devant mon agacement et notre timing serré, mon fils s'en contente et n'ose pas contredire. Pour ma part une salade au bœuf avec 5 morceaux de viande qui se perdent au milieu d'une sauce qui n'a absolument rien à voir avec la description de la carte...Mais bonne tout de même. À tel point que j'ai eu envie de saucer mais impossible avec un quignon de pain dur comme de la pierre, passé au micro-ondes...J'aurais pu en rester là, si ce n'est que j'ai constaté la date au verso de la bouteille d'huile d'olive... C'en était trop et je me suis donc plaint à la caisse, me heurtant encore à la mauvaise foi de la gérante "nous réutilisons les bouteilles d'huile vides et les remplissons de fraîche, désolé pour le pain et mais je vous assure que votre fils m'a dit qu'il voulait un burger..." Bien sûr mon fils de 13 ans qui déteste les cornichons et les tomates, sur un œuf au plat, va prendre justement ce plat ci. The server who works there whit glasses,had such a behaviour,we just wanted play pool and there was 2 pool tables were free and he told us to wait 2hrs until the people who had revserved and were eating,i ask him politely if we could play until they finish there dishes and he said (No i cant do that if u can wait 2hrs you wait or u can leave). It was so rude to act like that to a client and the way he responded was directly No.

I hope they can do better then this and can manage...
