Food (the bad): I made the unfortunate decision to order a meat dish at this establishment, and it turned out to be a tasteless disappointment. My steak resembled an unseasoned shoe sole, and even after returning it, the replacement, a classic burger, was nothing more than a bland lump of ground meat. It was probably my fault for expecting quality meat at a fish restaurant, but a little seasoning wouldn't have hurt. Food (the good): On a positive note, my wife ordered the "Moules" or blue mussels, and she thoroughly enjoyed them. Management: Unfortunately, the management left much to be desired. Despite the unsatisfactory meat dishes, they didn't show any concern or willingness to address the issue. The meat dish was nonchalantly added to our bill without a hint of acknowledgment or care. Service: The saving grace of our dining experience was the waitress, who was an absolute gem. Despite the culinary letdown, she did her best to provide good service. Thank you to her for salvaging some positivity from our visit.

🗺️ Léon Strasbourg is nestled in the business district, which may not be the easiest area to navigate for newcomers, but it’s worth the effort. 🏛️ The interior opens into a spacious hall, tastefully decorated with a warm, modern touch that feels inviting for both casual and family-style dining. 📜 The menu is impressively broad, but the star is clearly the mussels—prepared in several unique and flavorful ways that highlight French seafood craftsmanship. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Staff are attentive and professional, creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that makes the experience feel personal and well-paced. ✅ Highly recommended: the dishes are full of flavor, service is on point, and the ambiance makes it ideal for family dinners or business lunches alike..

It has been a family ritual for me ever since I was a child to have Léon’s signature mussels whenever we’re in France… the restaurant has a special place in my heart and is associated with many lovely memories. I have been to many of their branches all over the country, with the one in Strasbourg being the one I visited the most due to its proximity of where I live. The mussels are always exceptionally delicious and fresh every single time without ever disappointing. The service however is unfortunately inconsistent so it’s a hit or miss and can sometimes sour the experience. Nevertheless, an absolute must-try for seafood fans in general and mussels fans in particular.

The worst customer service ever. I've lived in France for 33 years but this is the worst service I can remember. I ordered moules frites for two people and a 46cl carafe of IGP Var rosé. When the wine arrived it was "off", I would say corked but this wine was not actually from a bottle. I called the waiter and told him the problem and suggested that if all this particular wine was affected, I would order a bottle of Provence rosé instead. He went to see the manager and returned to say they could not take the wine back as it had already been served and asked if I still wanted to order another wine. I was stunned and asked if he was telling me that I would still have to pay for a carafe of undrinkable wine and he told me that was their "policy". I explained this was the first time, in my experience, that a French restaurant had ever refused to take back a bad wine and that my guest and I would therefore eat somewhere else. We left. As a result, this restaurant was not paid for the carafe of wine and presumably two moules frites also went to waste in the kitchen. A fitting result for their...

Awful place, NEVER going there again. Horrendous customer service, wouldn't welcome us at the door, so we found our own way to a table, then minutes later a waiter finally appeared to tell us we need to wait at the door to be ushered, then refused to give us a table next to the play area (though there was a free, supposedly "reserved" one). So not child friendly and generally very unpleasant atmosphere, with terribly long wait... don't waste your time there! Go to the fantastic vegan place across, "La Bouture" instead!

Also, just remembered that once before I was even less lucky to actually eat there, and the only way to ingest their terribly greasy food is with croupous amounts of overpriced Belgian beer, which in all fairness they do supply,...
