We just dined at Pizza Di Roma tonight. The service was absolutely terrible, I left a note to that regard. We were told 30-40 minutes to receive food and we said that was fine, but after our food was left (after about 50 minutes) we did not have anyone come back ever. My partner received the wrong beer and I asked also for a carafe of water I never received. We would have both ordered another beer and another wine as well as dessert if the service wasn't so terrible. The restaurant seated anyone who showed up but didn't have enough servers to service everyone. They should turn away some (even if it was us) when they don't have enough servers. My partner went in to pay and there were angry people who were upset over the service. We are in the Chessy/Serris area a month or more each year and my partner said never Pizza di Roma again (this was our third time visiting). There is a new Solo pizza restaurant across from our hotel and we will try that next time, a friend told us today that it was the best pizza (but they were closed today.).
The pizza and garlic bread were decent, the food quality was not the problem here. The terrible service due to seating too many guests with not enough servers was. Our own server went inside and never came back out after a time. It is better to take fewer guests and make them happy than to take more guests and make them unhappy. Nobody around us looked happy.
Also, for some reason they didn't...

We wish we could have been there more than once - the food was so good that we didn’t even take pictures (so I’ve used one from their website because you NEED to see this review!)
We were on honeymoon and it was our last few days in Paris after having been to Switzerland and Italy. We were both under the weather for part of the Italy trip and we were devastated that we missed out on proper Italian food. We live in Cape Town and I had worked for an Italian family for many years so I was so excited to have an Italian meal. The manager (owner maybe?) was so welcoming and, funny enough, had loved his trip to Cape Town 😂 Small world!
In my opinion, you can tell how good a place is by their pizza margherita and this did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great and we even second-guessed whether we should have stayed rather than getting take out, but we had Disneyland the next day and we knew that we needed the rest. I saw a few comments about the food not being fast - that’s actually a good sign! You can tell how fresh it is when you eat it, and good things take time.
If you’re in the area, it’s right outside the mall, definitely sit down for a meal. I wish I’d tried their Caprese and bolognaise but next time we will make an...
Read moreI came here the other evening and was seated immediately with 3 other tables. From there it took about 10 minutes for any of the two waitresses (who were chatting with the bartender) to come and take our order. We finally did order and everything was very good. But the second we got our main meal the waitresses acted as if we weren’t even there.
We waited 30 minutes after finishing our meal, whilst looking around and signaling for her multiple times, we eventually just got up and paid and left. This is no good as I was keen to try the desserts as the food was quite good, but nothing tastes worse than bad service.
Try hiring staff that aren’t incompetent, and if the bartender is the owner he needs to get removed too because how do you see a busy restaurant and decide to start chatting up two girls that work for you and probably wouldn’t talk to you if they didn’t.
Food is great! The rest? No thank you.
