LaBelleBrune — Restaurant in Toulouse

Review update and edit from August 16, 2022: honestly, I find it much too expensive for what it is but as a Toulousaine (person who lives here) I’d guess they are taking advantage of the fact they’re in the Carmes (fancy, bohemian) neighborhood. The service today was bad and I waited a long time for just a matcha and a couple pancakes. Guy got my “food” order wrong minutes after i gave my order. I didn’t feel super welcome here as a solo diner, also I felt claustrophobic in between all the couples just centimeters from my bench seating. the feel is more like a somewhat upscale cafe, than a coffee shop. Now it feels like more of a restaurant. For 10€ I won’t be returning. The matcha was okay, but pretty lackluster. And for 5€. The two pancakes were good, I’m American and a good judge of that lol, but not for 5€…honestly pretty disappointed! I preferred it when it was a coffee shop and “smaller”!!

The service is terrible 😞 my boyfriend was waiting there for more than 15 minutes until someone came and ask what we need. In addition, we don't have any fork and knife when the food is served. ☕ The coffee is acid... without telling us in advance when we ordered. Thanks for the kind staff behind the bar, he explained us why it's acid....Except that, I agree with other comments that the food is great! We enjoyed it! Especially the watermelon juice! Nous avons eu la chance de bruncher à "La Belle Brune" et je peux dire que c'était une expérience gastronomique délicieuse ! Les produits frais utilisés dans chaque plat ont vraiment fait la différence. Le pan cake gourmand était un vrai régal, pas trop sucré mais bien garni, il était parfait pour satisfaire mes papilles. De plus, l'avocado Toast servi de manière royale était absolument délicieux et savoureux avec des produits hyper frais. Les jus de fruits pressés du jour, en particulier le Pomme Kiwi, étaient un choix sain et rafraîchissant pour accompagner mon repas. Et je dois dire que le cappuccino au lait d'amande et le cappuccino au lait de la ferme du matin étaient les boissons chaudes parfaites pour compléter mon brunch. Le service était excellent, le personnel était aimable et attentionné. L'ambiance générale était chaleureuse et accueillante, créant une expérience agréable pour tous les clients. Je recommande vivement "La Belle Brune" pour ceux qui cherchent une expérience culinaire de qualité supérieure avec des produits frais et savoureux.
