Le bar de Gaspard à Maison Soclo — Restaurant in Toulouse

This is a hidden gem. I was hesitant to write a review just because I know it’s not known to locals here and I don’t want it to get crowded. Kidding aside, this place is just wonderful. The restaurant has 4 different areas of dining and so 4 different atmosphere. I will write them so you can perhaps decide before hand and request which table you want when you reserve on the phone. First is the one in front of the street, most indoor part, I guess this is the interior restaurant area, it’s quiet and intimate; 2nd one is by the fireplace and same room as where the bar is, I guess this is the formal bar area as the tables are more for drinking and chilling than dining.. This room is very good during winter with the couch in front of the fake fireplace, the decor also is by par. 3rd area is the glassed patio..very nice! Quelle ne fût pas notre déception. Nous avons été autant déçus la deuxième fois que contents la première fois de la découverte de ce lieu. L'accueil dans ce bar/restaurant a complètement gâché mon anniversaire. Le serveur, au demeurant arrogant nous a repris sèchement à plusieurs reprises, pour le bruit que nous faisions et qui aurait géné les clients des chambres d'hôtel. Peut-être que certains parlent fort ou ont eu l'outrecuidance de rire mais nous n'avons ni crié ni manqué de respect à qui que ce soit. Si l'on veut ouvrir un bar à cocktail avec terrasse en-dessous d'un hôtel, on effectue des travaux d'isolation en conséquence ou alors on y renonce.
