L'Equilibre - Bar à vins et Tapas — Restaurant in Versailles

After a day at Versailles, we were in need of a glass of wine and some food. Tapas are always a good option and L’Equilibre was the perfect spot for a light meal before dinner.

Set up like a traditional Spanish Tapas Bar, the menu is on chalkboards. You order at the bar and they bring it to you. A selection of wines, beers and some mixed drinks are at your disposal. It’s situated on a small pedestrian street, so you can sit outside and watch the happenings around you.

We visited early January. It was Zero degrees outside and remarkably locals sit outside drinking wine. We managed to find a spot inside and enjoyed a very nice Alsace Riesling. The food was simple but very tasty. There were additional tables upstairs but we did not venture up there. This wine bar has friendly and attentive staff, a small but good selection of wine and plenty of mood. It was good value for money considering what we had. There were plenty of other tapas...

L’Equilibre is a rare find in Versailles. Nestled in one of the most beautiful streets, we found this bar really cosy with a very young vibe.

The bartenders speak perfect English, serves an amazing selection of vine paired with really good platters of Fromage and Jambon!

We really enjoyed the tap beer as well and the IPA, was specially good. Since we live so close by, I am sure we will revisit this place...
