I give one star due to the terrible experience I had with a waiter at this establishment. The first waiter who greeted us was so warm and welcoming. But the second waiter who started taking our order seemed be rushing us through. I never had French food so I wanted to take my time. When I asked the second waiter if they had seafood he kind of laughed at me saying that they don’t have seafood here ( or French doesn’t have seafood). He made me feel like a stupid person for not knowing French food. But then he pointed out on the menu some fish and scallop dishes. Does he not know seafood means anything from the water? After taking our order he didn’t even ask if we wanted water or any drinks. I had to flag down someone else for that. Even after serving our food our waiter seemed to ignore us. If it wasn’t for my elderly parents who needed to eat and rest a bit, I would have had a word with the waiter for his disgusting mannerism that left me feeling insulted. I suggest this establishment train their waiters properly. You are an ambassador of your culture and country. Luckily I’ve been meeting other wonderful French ppl so I’m not going to stereotype everyone in France cuz of this one ignorant individual. Until things improve, please don’t...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for dinner in March (on a Sunday evening) of last year and I still dream of the meal I had there. Charmingly tucked away in a small pedestrian street, the ambiance inside the restaurant was cozy, warm, and inviting. I wonder about the reviews saying the service here was bad, slow, or unfriendly. The staff here could not have been kinder to me. The pace of the meal was leisurely and relaxing, as French dining should be. I had a beef stew with root vegetables which included a piece of bone marrow. As you know, restaurant portions in France aren't like in the United States, but this portion was so generous I could not finish it (which is unfortunate for me, because it was absolutely delicious). I still had a café gourmand for dessert, which was also delicious. There are many great restaurants full of amazing food in France, and I promise that you will not regret...
