We stopped by the restaurant while walking around Versailles after visiting the palace. We thought it was a simple bar (not really looking at the sign, walking from a far and taking a table outside across the street in the park). We just wanted to have a quick stop for refreshments. One in our groups decided he wanted a snack and ordered grilled leeks. We shared them and were blown away by the taste complexity and presentation. So we ordered green beans salad with duck and beef tartar to share. Everything was amazing! Very tasty, balanced, and creative. Beef tartar recipe is simply out of this world! And surprisingly, the prices are very affordable. To end, we got the rum baba. When it was brought, I was told to make a hole in the cake so the waiter can pour in orange infused rum till I say stop. I did that and the pour started. I was shocked by that and didn't stop him fast enough. So we ended up with a lot of rum in the bowl, which was very very generous. The terrace, nestled under the trees on the cathedral square, is a lovely setting — cosy and atmospheric.
