Bad service. We decided to go to this place due to the great reviews it has on Google Reviews - never again, I'm sticking solely to TripAdvisor. Upon entering, we were sat at a table around the corner from the main room, the waiter - who we layer found out to he the restaurant manager - didn't even bother giving us the QR code for the menu.
After asking 3 times, we finally got it. After deciding what we wanted, we grabbed the waitress and were told that they didn't have the dishes we wanted. We then decided on Khinkali, and were told that that would take at least 40 minutes and wasn't worth ordering as a result.
After deciding again, we ordered our food and waited almost an hour for it to arrive, asking every now and then. The waitress was equally confused that we hadn't got it. When it arrived, we still had no cutlery and had to ask multiple times for it.
Food was average. Better Georgian food elsewhere, Georgian partner can fully confirm.
We spoke to the restaurant manager who was the same person who didn't bother giving us the menu. His excuse was that the food was fresh, but I've been to many excellent restaurants that to do not take an hour to cook and serve the food. He didn't seem to want to accept any responsibility for the poor service, blaming it on 2 members of staff not coming in. If they can't accommodate the number of customers that they accept, they should turn people away. Simple as that.
TLDR extremely poor service and poor...
Read moreWe wanted to give a try to this restaurant during our stay in Batumi. We ordered assortment Pxali, as a starter, Xinkali with meat and potatoes and Hatchapuri. Half of Pxali was ok with the rest of them being too salty and too many spicies in it! Xinkali were really very tasty just a little smaller on size than other restaurants nearby. But here the problems started. In my Hatchapuri I found hair stacked inside the cheese. That means that the hair did not fly from somewhere but felt from somebody working inside kitchen. I told to the waiter and he just took my plate of one piece that I had in front of me not asking sorry or at least saying anything! In the end nobody asked why we did not ate the rest and we asked for the bill. As I was expecting the bill was with the Hatchapuri inside! I went to the administrator and explained what happened. She was really very kind and she got really sad of what happened. She did now knew anything of what happened cause the waiter did not inform her! I also explained, as a restaurant owner, that this is normal to happen but I did not like the reaction of the working staff at all! Finally, we paid for what we did not have to pay and left disappointed. I don’t think we will...
Read moreI visited this place two years ago and had a decent experience, so I decided to return yesterday. Unfortunately, I wish I hadn’t. The evening was completely ruined. We wanted to have a nice dinner and leave at a reasonable time since we had other plans, but the service was extremely disappointing.
The waitress was inattentive; she forgot one of our drinks and got one of our orders wrong. We ordered a vegetarian chakhokhbili, but it came with meat. When I pointed out the mistake, she didn’t even apologize, just took the dish away. We waited an hour and a half for the correct dish, but it never came. When I inquired, she claimed we had canceled the order, which we hadn’t.
Frustrated, I asked for the check to leave as soon as possible. The waitress still didn’t apologize, and another waiter approached us with a cynical smirk, saying, “Bad service, I understand.” This experience ruined our night, wasting at least three hours. To top it off, the rest of the food, including the khinkali, wasn’t even that great. I will...
