We decided to visit the restaurant after seeing some online reviews, including one from an Arab reviewer speaking positively about it. Upon arrival, we entered and waited in line, which turned out to be quite long. The reception staff were polite, but we noticed that they were seating certain groups who arrived after us before our turn.
When we were finally seated, I asked four different staff members to take our order. Each assured us they would be there in “just a minute,” but no one came. Eventually, we spoke with the floor manager, but he seemed uninterested and unresponsive. I initially assumed this was due to the high workload.
We eventually managed to place our order—fish, pizza, salad, and juice. Although the expected wait time was around 15–20 minutes, we waited for half an hour before being informed that the fish was unavailable. We replaced it with another pizza. What was frustrating was that nearby tables, who arrived later, were served their meals—including fish—promptly.
We ended up waiting a total of 40 minutes just for the pizza, which finally arrived at 10:00 PM, even though we had been at the restaurant since 8:30 PM. To make matters worse, throughout the evening, we noticed unfriendly looks from the floor manager directed towards our table.
After an hour and a half of waiting—and with the pizza we ordered at 9:10 PM still not served—we decided to leave the restaurant. We asked for the bill, and they called the same floor manager I mentioned earlier. His manner of speaking was extremely unpleasant. Although I do not understand Georgian, his facial expressions made it very clear what he meant. They insisted on not giving us the bill right away. Then, at 10:10 PM, they finally brought the pizza and placed it on our table against our will, after an extremely long wait. The service was absolutely unacceptable.
The question remains: if you do not want Arabs or Muslims, in particular, to visit your restaurant, then why do you offer a menu in Arabic and advertise halal food? (Especially considering that we are paying with our own money, not receiving anything complimentary from the restaurant.) Why was our order delayed so much compared to other nearby tables? And why was the floor manager’s attitude especially rude? For example, when my husband called him over to check the bill to ensure the amount was correct—since we are foreigners and not familiar with the local currency, and because it is a common custom in the Middle East—he ignored my husband the first time. Even after being called several times, he grabbed the bill holder from the table again in an extremely disrespectful manner.
Another point: the entire bill was written only in Georgian, with no English translation, despite the fact that almost all the restaurant’s customers were foreigners. This makes it difficult to verify the charges and opens the door to possible overcharging.
All in all, it was a very bad experience, and sadly, the restaurant showed clear discrimination...

Ah, Pirosmani. A name that evokes Georgian art, culture, and... culinary confusion? 🎨🍲😵💫
I came here with high hopes and an empty stomach. I left with emotional damage and the sneaking suspicion that I had just been part of a social experiment titled: “How Long Will Tourists Wait for a Khachapuri?” 😬⌛🍞
Let’s start with the ambiance. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to eat inside your grandma’s living room after she gave up—this is your chance. 🛋️👵💔 Bonus: The live music was replaced by the soothing soundtrack of the waiter ignoring us in surround sound. 🎶🙈🔇
The food? Imagine a khinkali that tasted like it had deep personal issues. 🥟💔 My friend ordered grilled meat, and I’m pretty sure the grill left the building hours before we arrived. It was so dry it applied for a job in construction. 🧱🥩🧃 (Spoiler: it didn’t get hired either.)
We asked for water. They brought a bottle. Of sparkling personality-free disappointment. 💧🙄
The service? Let’s just say I’ve had warmer greetings from ATM machines. 🏦😑 Our waiter either moonlighted as a magician or actually disappeared for 45 minutes — jury’s still out. 🎩
By dessert time (which never came), I was already fantasizing about the sweet release of a fast-food drive-thru. 🚗🍔😵💫
Bathroom status: I went in, and the door tried to hold me hostage. Send help. 🚽🆘
Final thoughts: If you’re into culinary chaos, emotional neglect, and extremely abstract interpretations of “Georgian hospitality,” then Pirosmani might just be your vibe. As for me? I’ll be digesting this experience—emotionally, not physically—for years to...
Read moreI have a mixed feelings about this one. We came to the place when it was full of people (overcrowded even), but the staff was somewhat attentive and gave us a place reasonably fast (it was a corner seat in the back of the restaurant, but we didn’t mind, since there was a live music and a seat in the middle Of the restaurant would have caused us deafness for sure!) We were hungry, and curious- so we ordered a LOT of food. I need to say that almost all of the food was superb. But here came the downfall- for the main dish, which is the hinkali, it took them more then an hour to serve! And for the fried version of it - we waited 1.30 hours- and couldn’t wait no more (besides that we were stuffed already) - but just to make it clear, salads came, bbq beef came (the best one i had in my life btw!), bean stew came, hachapuri came, chicken came, and ONLY THEN, came the hinklai - which are dumplings basically that are boiled for few minutes! I don’t know what kind of magic they put in them to prepare them for so long, but they indeed were very good, not sure if better then other places i have been, but good enough to come back again (of course when it is less crowded!) All’n’all it was a good experience, with a poor...
