Restaurant Karabak — Restaurant in Batumi

Below mediocre restaurant. When you go to Turkish restaurants you expect to get great hospitality, accompanied by complimentary dishes. Not this restaurant, where The only complimentary dish was dry bread. No salads, pitas, sauces, etc. Secondly, the menu isn’t a menu, but pictures of the entrees underneath a table glass, just tiny pictures, no description, and NO PRICE. you feel like you might get scammed when the check arrives. Thirdly, food was not great. The average entree Is one skewer, some rice pilaf and a bit of veggies on the side. Very dry and disappointing, as they don’t offer hummus nor tahini for sauces. If you're looking for a great place to eat and really be full, that’s not the place for you. You’ll end up paying much more than average, for very little food. To summarize; Hospitality - 2 stars. The restaurant was out of most of the items on the menu. The food we ordered just ok. I was over charged on my bill. All that is all understandable. No worries not a big deal, people make mistakes…. What is not ok is when I showed the waitress that she charged me for two plates instead of one. She got mad at ME and gave me a nasty attitude. She balled up my old receipt and threw it in the corner of her work station. She returned to my table and dropped off my change without saying a word and walked away. No “bye”, “thank you”, “I fixed it”, “see you later”, nothing. Customers can overlook certain issues but it is not proper business etiquette to treat a customer bad because you make a mistake. We were greeted very nicely, but service was otherwise quite rushed and not very understanding that we needed more time. The dishes that I did want to sample were out and the food that we did end up getting was burned and very greasy after a quite a long wait.
