Alco-hall Gastro Bar — Restaurant in Tbilisi

Overpriced, too laud and very uncomfortable seats! - that's the short outline of this overated place! The chairs were so low and uncomfortable we hardly could reach the table, and we all are quite tall people over 180cm. We asked them to put some pillows in order to make chairs a bit comfortable but they didn't provide any! There was also a banch on the other side of tabe, a bit higher, but I was seating next to other table's guest. Who even designed this place that in order to enjoy conversation with friends, one had to sit with unknown people. Well.. Regarding conversation, unfortunately we hardly could hear each other, we even went out several times to a bit enjoy the chatting. The piano music was so laud, it made everything even worse. I would never imagine that piano sound could have been so ennoying. The sound was not calibrated at all, we could even hear the song which the pianist was singing! The prices are beyond expensice; for the service they offer it is unjustifiable. For instance, I was waiting for my beer more than 30 minutes, a beer in bottle guys! And making the cocteails took them ages! We also ordered cheese pate, but it was too small and had only two types of cheese, both quite similar by taste. It was my first time there and definitely will never go again, especially when there are way better places right next...

food was mediocre. but service was very disappointing. first of all very slow considering that restaurant was quite empty. even bringing the water took way too long. we went there as a pair and had an awful experience. my husband’s food was served 10-15mins later than mine and since i had pasta it got cold. thats very sad cause we were going as a pair and in normal restaurant waitress should ask about the other guests dish before bringing one out. she didn’t even bother to do so until 10-15mins later when we complained that my food was getting cold. what was even worse and disrespectful was that she did not even apologise.she was only bringing the food like a robot. its a bare minimum requirement for restaurant that waiters say hallo and goodbye or so on. One of few restaurants serving European cuisine. Become our beloved place to come for a dinner with friends and food was always on point 👌 I greatly appreciated their grilled salmon steak with zucchini served with carrot and orange purée with remarkable citrus flavor that makes the whole dish. Highly recommend as it became my favorite option on the menu that I return for every time. The interior is also worth mentioning even though at some tables they have pretty uncomfortable armchairs in which one sits too low for the table so better pick tables with chairs to avoid this inconvenience. They also have tables outside under a tent so there is an option some fine dining on fresh air though they placed just next to a road that doesn’t make a great view.
