Rooster — Restaurant in Tbilisi

This is a lovely place in the park with a deck overlooking the trees. It has inside and outside seating (outside seating has 2 levels - the deck and park level) with muted colors and a relaxed vibe. I arrived just after they opened and was the only customer at that time. I ordered the pork belly with grilled potatoes and it took a while to come out as it was being prepared fresh! I also had a glass of red wine that was yummy. As I sat and relaxed in the a/c I thoroughly enjoyed the view and the great mix of music that was playing softly in the background. My lunch was delicious and fresh. The pickled onions added a nice contrast and sweetness to the mustard sauce (tad salty for my taste - but mustard tends to be salty). The spuds were crispy on the onside and fluffy on the inside. The pork belly was light and soft and retained its moisture and had good flavor. I never felt rushed and was allowed to sit and enjoy the solitude that was mine as the only diner...

Waitress was good and professional and spoke good english but chief was slow and i wouldn't call him a chief. Firstly, we enetered the place around 8:30pm. We asked for draught beer and they had none (the barrels were empty) then asked for wine they said we have none today. So, the first dish (Grilled Vegetables. See photo) came around 45 minutes since we made the order. And it was all cold and some Vegetables were pickled and didn't have any grilling taste at all. Second Dish came around 1 hour since we ordered (beef tacos and chicken tacos. See photo) it tasted good but they add too much sauce you can't taste the beef or the chicken. Finally, our last order arrived around 9:45pm (Half meat platter. see photo) pulled Beef was tasty and tender but too salty, chicken drumsticks were undercooked. Overall, i wouldn't visit this place...

Rooster has a cozy vibe and a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends or wind down after a long day. The place has character, and you can feel the laid-back, welcoming energy as soon as you walk in.

When it comes to the food, however, it’s pretty average—not bad, but nothing that stands out. Unfortunately, the waiting time was quite long, which took away from the overall experience. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re coming hungry.

That said, there’s a silver lining: the beer is excellent. Whether you’re into craft brews or just want a cold pint, Rooster really delivers on that front.
