The food was almost inedible. We know and love Indian food but we have no idea what we just ate. We were the only people in the restaurant yet service was slow. We received the main dish (one of them) before the soup. Very very dry chicken tandoori. The soups had an unnatural taste. We asked for Indian Chai and specifically asked the waitress if it’s real cooked chai with all the spices and she assured us that it is - but what we got was simply bitter black tea with milk. We paid almost 200 lari for the dubious pleasure - and on top of all they don’t even take card! Only cash (they should have said so from the beginning!). A horrible experience from end to end. Lesson learned - when you see an empty restaurant, there’s a very good reason for that. Editing: I have read other replies here for negative reviews, and you seem to be consistently bullying everyone with the same strategy. Since you claim that I have never visited your horrible restaurant, I attach the bill - which I have paid in cash, since apparently you don't take card. Thank you very much for telling us that only at the end of the meal, by the way. It's obvious why you have to...
Read moreTried their food first in Gudauri, so came back to Tbilisi and tried their food here too. Because you know halal food is a necessity, the waiter was again dry, they had cream of chicken soup which they gave to the people who ordered next to us but not to us saying it’s not there. A woman sitting at the reception covered the track saying it’s available now but not when we ordered ( kindly note this was in 30 min gap) because they give food to students, dorms, messes etc,. In my opinion the waiter didn’t know what’s cooking in the kitchen, it was part of his job.
Anyway coming to the food part, it’s a little annoying that the menu reads amazing things but they have limited options (also the same in Gudauri) from what I tried - loved their garlic naan, garlic rice, the chicken masala is amazing too. Ordered their onion pakora which was oh so Delicious! It would be nice if they’d have a dessert option too. The chicken tikka dry was how ever extremely dry and the chicken was chewy. Definitely recommend you to...
Read moreThis is the first Indian restaurant we’ve tried in Tbilisi, and we’re so glad we did! We were taken care of by Jyoti, who was absolutely lovely and got us everything we needed including a prayer mat.
The food took some time to come and for us that was a good thing, because it meant it would likely be fresh – and it was! So if you visit, be prepared to wait a little bit. Good things take time 😉
The food itself was fantastic, extremely well flavoured and served piping hot – we ordered chicken tikka masala, butter paneer, garlic and cheese naans, and mango lassis. The only thing I’ll say is that the lassi is a bit sweet, but this is a personal preference.
The atmosphere is also quiet, which was great for us. No loud music, harsh lights or chaos, just a simple interior that makes you feel at home, and little buttons on the table to call over the servers which I thought was a really thoughtful touch.
Will...
