Ankara Style Restaurant offers a delightful taste of Turkish cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. The menu boasts a variety of traditional dishes, each prepared with care and authentic flavors. The standout for me was their kebabs and mezze platter, which were delicious and well-presented.
The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, with a decor that reflects Turkish culture, though it could benefit from a bit more attention to detail. The service was good overall, but there were moments when it felt a bit slow, especially during peak hours.
What really sets this restaurant apart is the quality of their ingredients and the authenticity of the recipes. However, a more diverse menu with additional vegetarian options would be a great addition.
In summary, Ankara Style Restaurant is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Turkish meals. It's perfect for both family dinners and casual dining with friends. While there's some room for improvement in service and variety, the overall experience is definitely...
Read moreI arrived pretty early so there weren’t many people. I think the only 2 groups of people sitting in the restaurant were either workers or friends of the restaurant or something because they were extremely friendly with the staff and all.
I got a tasty dish made of vegetables such as leafy greens, eggplants, pumpkin, etc, that cost 15 GEL. It was tasty overall but a bit too oily. I was used to paying immediately back in Turkey so I was surprised when I had my money out ready to pay right after choosing what to eat that I’d pay later. The waitress brought my food over very quickly and she also brought an additional 5 pieces of bread I wasn’t 100% sure were free or not.
The location overall is decent with the ‘Marjanishvili’ metro station just a couple minutes walk away plus some Spar stores and more. The restaurant is a decent size with multiple 2 seater and 4 seater tables splayed all around the restaurant. The ceiling is quite high too so it doesn’t feel like a stuffy...
Read moreDon't expect the food to be like the food in Turkey. That is a high bar as lamb is of the highest calibre in Turkey. If you adjust your expectations downward, you will be pleased with this Turkish venue. I ordered guvich (4/5), hashlama (3/5) [meat ample but too tough] and kıymalı pide (2/5) [not tasty]. Overall, I found the dishes not bursting with flavour and dishes were underspiced or the spices used were drab probably because they were not fresh and nearing or past their expiration For dessert, I ordered sütlach (5/5), so good I ordered two.and almost ordered a third portion. Considering the many customers and the scarcity of wait-staff, the service was good but falling short of exceptional. On the second floor (first floor British), I found the atmosphere welcoming but more suited to group rather than solo dining. For the menu, it is necessary to download the QR code. Prices are in line with other mid-priced restaurants in Tbilisi: neither a bargain...
