So, this restaurant is one of seemingly good one ones in Aachen. However, that tells more about the competition than about Konak itself. The interior is nice, discreet ant tasteful. The food is turkish (known to be tasteful and massive), but here the taste and quality of it varies. There is a dish i found really tasteful (lamb wrapped in aubergine), and therefore repeatedly came back, but everything else was a disappointment. Quantity was repeatedly small (even for me, and I weight 48kg). However, the main reason my review is this bad is the service. A group of friends (3-8 of us) went for dinners there twice monthly for a few months. Not a single time have we had a pleasant treatment, even though we were regulars! What happened to us ranges from refusing to bring us tap water (although none of us ever made a bill smaller than 25e), to telling us that the table needs to be free in 10min once we said we didn't won't to drink anything more. I am not a person who writes hateful reviews based on a single visit, but hese people need to learn how a restaurant is to be run.. One should come to this place only if he desires to pay for...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for the first time a week ago. The food was so tasty that I decided to book a table for 15 people for this week Friday to celebrate my defense. I was asked by the waiter to confirm the final number of guests, which I did. On the day of the dinner someone from the restaurant called me to once again confirm the number of people. The person was very rude while speaking to me. The whole evening was ruined by the service from Konak restaurant. They didn’t take our orders correctly. We were served by 4 different people and all of them were completely clueless about who ordered what and in what amount. We needed to wait for the foood for over an hour. In the end they blamed us for all the problems that occurred during the evening. Moreover we were asked to never come back there and I think that we’ll follow...
Read moreThree stars is for the service. They have a 2 hour window which you have to order, wait and eat your food. That is way to short. We couldnt even order dessert or some hot drinks after. My food was overly salted and my calamar was overcooked and burned. I waited for 15 min to get attention from the waiters. They did ask if I wanted a new one. No sorry was said. Then the waiter came back to tell me I was getting the same size piece that was left over. We ordered mezze before dinner. We had 2 small finger sized pieces of bread per person. So you are left with 80% of the mezze without bread. The meals are overprized and my dinner was a really small portion. 60% was salad, 20% spinach and 20% kalamar. I think this is rip off. Not...
