Plaka Restaurant — Restaurant in Bayreuth

My friend and I went to this restaurant this evening with very high expectations. However we got really disappointed.

The main course we ordered were: pork steak with potato and vegetables, squid and some kind of kebab meat with rice and vegetables.

The pork were made very dry, and the riced not cooked. Potato chips not crispy at all.

We asked for free tap water, and were told yes. But in the end they charged us 5.5 euros for a jar of house made sparkling water with not so fresh taste.

Besides that, they charged a 1.5 euro for doing some kind of barbecue of 4 pieces of squid and not telling us when they wanted us to choose barbecue or not.

When we asked about these two charges, the owner had very BAD attitude, he said the water was always charged and he had this restaurant for thirty years and never had problem, so "It's YOUR PROBLEM!"

Never seen an owner runs a business with this manner. Shocked.

At the end the bill was 45 euros.

Very disappointing experience. I don't recommend this...

I went to dine at this restaurant with my family last night. The food was good and arrived quickly. However, the service was a big disappointment. First of all, the waitress warned us that they accepted only cash payments which seemed a bit odd and we didn’t have a lot of cash so our choice was limited. Later on, we saw that the table next to us was actually paying by card and of course we asked why we couldn’t pay electronically as well. The waitress replied by saying that they accept only German EC cards ( which we had but she didn’t mention in the begging…) and foreigns card were not accepted. We were very puzzled and the lady started to argue by shouting “this is our home and we decide the rules!…we warned you etc.” I was shocked by her being so aggressive and rude to us and asked her to please calm down. Overall a good restaurant but the service...

The food is ok. But the service was the most horrible one me and my friend could ever have.

we asked the waiter if it is possible to offer free water. He said yes. But later when we check out, the water turned out to cost 5.5 Euro. Probably the waiter didn't understand it. However, the water tasted sooo bad, even worse than the tap water, never mention it was not cheap at all!

when we asked politely why the water was charged, the cashier was also very rude by speaking very loud with some unfriendly body gestures. GEE! I mean if was just a mistake, then just explain it, instead of being rude to your customers.

In a word, the WORST experience i ever had in...
