I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bedda's Sicilia, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Owned by the charming Muhteşem Bey, this restaurant truly lives up to its name.
The variety of pizza offerings is outstanding, and each one is truly delightful. As someone who typically experiences stomach issues, I was pleasantly surprised that even after indulging in a large pizza all to myself, I felt no discomfort whatsoever. The olive oils served before the meal are simply divine - a perfect start to any dining experience.
During my second visit, my partner and I tried the schnitzel, and we were equally impressed. Whether it was the beef or the chicken schnitzel, both were incredibly flavorful. However, it's safe to say that the pizzas at Bedda's Sicilia are among the best I've had in Berlin.
The wine menu is extensive, offering a wide selection to complement any meal. I often leave the selection to Muhteşem Bey himself, and he has yet to disappoint.
One of the aspects I love most about this restaurant is the opportunity to hear Muhteşem Bey's stories and learn the recipes behind the delicious dishes. It adds a personal touch to the dining experience that truly sets Bedda's Sicilia apart.
Overall, I highly recommend Bedda's Sicilia for anyone seeking exceptional food, impeccable service, and a truly memorable...
Read moreThis place is fantastic! We started with the bruschetta which was amazing. The red wine we ordered was from the owners home town and fantastic. For the main courses we got the Al Sufi con Polpette. It was great; but being a red sauce lover I wish it had more red sauce. I’m sure an Italian would berate me for this. My wife had the daily special which was the Fusilli Bedsa Mediterrania which was a nice pasta with red sauce and well balanced with tuna. For the desert we got the tiramisu and pana cotta. We should have gotten two Tiramisus. It was rich and soaked in espresso. Probably one of the top Tiramisus I have had.
The food was so good we went back the second day and had the pizza which was phenomenal. We also shared the Insalata Siciliana salad which was also very good. It was a balance "light" vegetables and "heavy" potatoes so it was a filling, but not overfilling salad. There were a few "different" vegetables in there that made the flavor pop.
Just go, you...
Read moreThe service was okay, and the owner was very friendly, which left a good impression. The food was overall good – the pizza was excellent, while the pasta was rather average.
However, the restaurant was very busy, which is understandable, but waiting 1.5 hours for food is simply unacceptable. In such situations, there are many ways to accommodate guests – offering some extra bread, a drink, or a small dish on the house. Unfortunately, in our case, there was no such gesture, nor any effort to make up for the long wait. Instead, the server seemed impatient and not very accommodating, which left a negative impression.
It’s a shame because we were really looking forward to the evening. With better service and a more customer-friendly approach in such situations, the experience could have been much more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend...
