Very cute cozy local cafe. Opens 9 AM on Sundays as well! Coffee is good, a little on the lightly roasted side. But itâs not too acidic, which is always appreciated. *FYI: you have to pay extra if you want coffee on the go, you basically pay for the paper cup.
They have a decent selection of desserts, with a good mix of both regular and vegan options. I tried their peanut butter and chocolate brownie and man was I happy I did. It was actually recommended by one of the staff. Peanut butter is prominent, the chocolate later is a melt-in-your-mouth kind of consistency. The cherry on top is the addition of salt, it balances the whole thing quite beautifully and doesnât make it sickening sweet. It went amazingly with my cappuccino. Highly recommend.
Ginger tea is a nice regular tea that doesnât become bitter, which is nice. Itâs ginger only and not ginger and lemon (obvious mistake to assume). I also tried their lemon biscuits, it wasnât amazing to be honest, texture could use some love and the lemon flavor somehow seems artificial.
The vibe is great, super chill with a very cool indie underground playlist, so it sets the tone right. Music is also not loud, so you can really relax and chill.
Staff are incredibly nice and friendly.
Downside however is the chairs đ„č They are all without back support and wooden, so they arenât the most comfortable in the whole world. Even though they have a great wifi and the vibe is really suitable for studying and working, I wouldnât recommend sitting there for long hours. If you need an hour or 2 for work or study though, then itâs perfect, as there are electric sockets everywhere and the internet (wifi) is solid and the cafe is very quiet.
All in all, great local cafe, I would definitely recommend it and will be...
Read moreCute spacious cafe, with a few different zones to sit. âš Nice colors of interior, also cozy lightning. If i got it right they collaborate with artist so you can see various art on they walls from time to time. Batista was very sweet and caring. I cannot say so much about the menu i had only matcha latte and almond croissant. Croissant is lovely. 9/10. đ” As a Japanese tea lover i didn't find their matcha latte tasty. đ„ČIt was poor of tea flavor and still bitter even with milk. I am not expecting cafes using ceremonial matcha powder but still it's so easy to find a nice tea in Berlin to use it for cooking. ;) (due to the warm lighting pictures turned to the more warm, ..for those who wonder matcha latte had original cold green colour, no worries âșïž) Definitely i will come back to try coffee and...
Read moreThe best experience Iâve had in a coffee shop is in Boxi Espresso. I was greeted very nicely when I entered the shop and I was served my drink in a very nice way with nice latte art which tastes amazing. I also had some questions about the coffee beans they sell and the barista was extremely knowledgeable about the beans and helped me select the best beans for me. Very chill cafĂ© for studying, in fact the barista was also studying architecture, same as me, and it was very kind of him to help me with some of my questions. I 100% Recommend this CafĂ© for everyone....
