Brotmeisterei Steinecke — Restaurant in Berlin

I came here during my class break to have coffee. I saw some magazines at the entrance and thought I might as well take the time to read something in German and practice. Magazines and newspapers are at the entrance, and I thought like in many other places, these are for guests to read. I sat with my coffee and one of the staff members started to scream at my in German from behind the counter, while everybody was looking. Then he came close to me saying something about the magazine I had grabbed. I returned the magazine, and he then gave it back to me, which I refuse to take after the scandal he did. I didn’t even bother to talk to him. But why make such a big fuss in front of people, as if I was stealing or something? Why not coming and directly tell me something, instead of screaming from afar for everybody to hear? Insane. Some people enjoy the very little...

Es ist unfassbar, wie unglaublich unfreundlich das Personal in dieser Filiale ist. Ein Guten Tag oder Auf Wiedersehen geschweige denn ein Lächeln darf man hier auf keinen Fall erwarten.Hier wird man auch mal angeschrien, weil man einen Betrag von 10 Euro mit einem 50 Euro - Schein bezahlen möchte und die Angestellten nicht genug Wechselgeld in der Kasse haben. Ich bin selbst im Einzelhandel tätig, würde ich Kunden so behandeln, würde ich vor die Tür gesetzt werden. Und zwar zu Recht!
