I came in last night and there was a wonderful male bartender who was super polite and made the best drinks ever! (5 stars to him)
I came in again today since the experience was so wonderful and imagine my disappointment when this horribly RUDE brunette woman bartender (who refused to give me her name after asking) was verbally being insulting to us as if we were trespassing in her living room. I have never been greeted by such a hostile and outright nasty person in my life. (-20 stars to this person) edit: just for reference this was our greeting. Plenty of tables. We decided instead of putting up with her horrible attitude to leave with no drinks today. She ruined my night at least.
They have lost my business. Sad to say cuz their drinks were wonderful. My advice- avoid her like the plague. But if you happen to walk in and it’s a different bartender then give it a shot!
Edit to reply: yea if someone asks something 4 times but they say it so quietly that nobody can hear them? I get that can be frustrating but it is wholly not appropriate to take that out on a customer. I would expect enough decency to formulate respectful reply’s when I’m paying 13€ for a small drink. Nobody was rude to her whatsoever. And neither of us heard her which is exactly what we told her and she still continued to be so ridiculously rude to us that we both felt the need to write a negative review. I barely ever review places I go. Bottom line: I have never after being to thousands of bars in Berlin been treated with such disregard and fowl behavior. It’s very disappointing and it’s even more disappointing to be argued with by someone after leaving a totally fair review but I guess that’s just how things work here 😃
Yes I will take your advice and go to other bars in the area which is what I did last night. If I ever run into one of your KIND AND RESPECTFUL bartenders again I will definitely come back. She however gets a very very very hard pass from me and I hope things in her life start looking up for her.
Edit they reported my review and got it removed. That has to tell you all you need to know about this...
Read moreManager (red hair, too chicken to give her name when asked after bad experience) on Friday 7/27 was by far the worst person in service industry I encountered in years. She seemed ok with regulars but treated newcomers like they are a bother - absolutely disgraceful and unfitting for an other wise decent looking place. Berlin has so much to offer dont risk bad vibes by running into her and enjoy your time somewhere else. PS: to the BRYK Bar crew replying here. Unless you are the owner ready to hear details and open minded to constructive feedback dont waste your time. Any time wasted on a snarky comment would be better used brushing up on your costumer skills up
PSS: the argumentive/ "it's all your fault" reply from the team speaks for itself. Enjoy this place if you like to interact with this condensending /...
Read moreBar tries to maintain an air of exclusivity when really it is one of many bars in the area. You sell alcohol to thirsty people, we get it.
We actually had a good time here. The entrance has a buzzer you must press, and someone then lets you in. It is non-smoking inside, which is nice.
The cocktails were on the expensive side, but we chalked that up to new PBerg pricing. They were made decently and arrived fairly quickly, bonus points for that. We all got different glasses, which was a laugh. Bonus points for the water and popcorn as well. Our server was friendly.
They mainly have cocktails that they seem to have made up themselves, including a few seasonal specials. Only one craft beer though,...
