Being on holiday from the u.k I would normally ask when in a restaurant / cafe scenario whether or not my hosts speak English or not with my German being admittedly very limited. This I find helps to make the transaction / service go much more smoothly. When I posed the question to the member of staff serving us I was swiftly retorted with “yes? Do you speak German?”. Not in the least helpful and also stated with the most obnoxious attitude not worthy of individual who interfaces on a daily basis with the general public. They have the menu translating into English so clearly cater for English people. Overall I felt this interaction tarnished any decent review I could bestow upon this eatery.
However it must be said that when I went in earlier that week I found (with different personnel) the service was much more friendly and relaxed.
If my review was primarily on the quality of the food it would be much higher and not to mention the value for money, which I found acceptable.

Read moreHaving the bar in a central position doesn't mean that the owner can be an absolute d*head with the customers. We went there on a Sunday afternoon with the intention to chill down after 2 hours of MauerPark market and to buy 3 espresso with a slice of cake. As the owner saw my girlfriend in the queue for the bathroom, the owner went bat crazy! He started to yell us asking to leave the cafeteria. He was afraid that we would have used the bathroom without ordering first. If we wanted to just use the toilet we would have chosen the bar on the other side of the street. Even though we explained that our intention was to consume, he obliged, yelling and insulting, my girlfriend (who was in urgent need for a bathroom) to order and consume before using the toilet. You (owner) should be ashamed of your behaviour, plus, your so-called "espresso" is...
Read moreA lovely cafe located very close to the Berlin Wall memorial.
The service was exceptionally lovely!! They were kind , accommodating and understanding. They offered a variety of choices from smoothies, to coffees, meal bowls, salads, soups, baked goods, etc..
They also give many options for plant based miks and alternatives .
We got the salami and vegetarian sandwich, both were very good and freshly toasted for us. We got the mixed berry smoothie , a carrot juice and a turmeric latte, all were good but the turmeric latte was very strong , so much so that it tasted bitter.
They kindly added more milk and lightened it and asked for my feedback when I went to get another drink:).
The matcha was very very good!! Perfectly flavoured, with a touch of honey .
Overall very sweet and simple experience ....
