Café Freudberg — Restaurant in Berlin

Crap experience with bad food and absolutely no sense of service. We ordered 2 x simple eggs dishes which took approx. 30-40 minutes to come out despite the cafe being almost empty. Upon delivery at the table from the waitress - the two poached eggs slid off the plate and onto the table and the waitresses' hand. She made no effort to replace the dish and simple brought out napkins.....were we supposed to eat the egg off the table?

Accidents can happen but the reaction and lack of attempt to help was so clueless it put us off ever coming here again....

I am quite disappointed. They took 45min to bring the “shakshoka”. This shakshoka was anything but shakshoka. It was basically 2 BOILED eggs swimming in a CANNED tomatoes sauce. This funny experience costs me 9 euros! I should have checked the pics before ordering.

RECOMMENDATION:

Please change the name from “shakshoka” to 2 boiled eggs in tomatoes sauce please. Don’t culture appropriate dishes. Bitte. Danke.

The staff we super nice and...

Came here especially as read a review that vegan cakes were lovely. However, the member of staff who served us made us feel very uncomfortable. He said he couldn't speak English, and we can't speak much German but he made no attempt to help us and just walked off as we tried to find the words to explain what we wanted. So rude. And the two cakes we tried were just ok....
