A Breakfast Delight! I recently had the pleasure of dining at SETS and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of Berlin, this charming breakfast spot offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Ambiance: The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sight of cozy, rustic decor. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing morning meal, with soft lighting and comfortable seating that encourages you to linger and enjoy your time. Service: The staff at SETS are incredibly friendly and attentive. From the moment we were seated, we felt well taken care of. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. Food: Now, onto the star of the show – the food! The menu at SETS Café is a breakfast lover’s dream. Coffee: No breakfast is complete without a great cup of coffee, and SETS Café delivers on this front as well. The coffee was robust and aromatic, providing the perfect pick-me-up to start the day. Overall: SETS Café is a gem of a breakfast spot that I highly recommend to anyone in the area. Whether you’re looking for a hearty meal to kickstart your day or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this restaurant has it all. I can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings!

After being a frequent visitor to Sets over the years, I sadly have to update my review: it’s no longer worth a visit. What was once one of the better quality food spots has slipped into something closer to a joke. The classic bread/avocado/egg combo now comes on a wafer-thin, store-bought slice of bread, flavourless, cheap, and insulting at the price, topped with iceberg lettuce marinated in oil. The “Étagère,” priced at €20, was an utter disappointment: dry scrambled eggs leaking water into the bowl (I’m no professional cook, but even at home my eggs don’t weep like that), salmon drenched in olive oil, and hummus so oily it looked more like a dip in olive oil than hummus. Two wafer-thin slices of toast that couldn’t even be cut with a knife rounded off the misery. An overpriced and deeply underwhelming menu. The staff are very young and, while they try, they clearly lack proper training in service. That, perhaps, explains the empty tables at 1 pm on a Saturday. Do not recommend.

Excellent service , chic and cozy interiors , fairly nice menu for breakfast. We tried - French toast with avocado ,egg , cheddar and bacon - Brioche topped with ham , poached eggs and bernaise sauce - Hot chocolate. While the hot chocolate was pathetic , an extremely diluted version of cocoa milk , I loved my brioche in bernaise sauce. I would recommend and re order this. The chedder on french toast was a bit chewy , seeming overdone, however not bad at all. The plating was beautiful. The quoted prices are extremely high for the portions. After the gastronomy tax hike and inflation , we don't expect last year's pricing, however comparable brunch places in berlin have bigger and more filling portions. Just adding another slice of bread can make the difference. This is my personal point of view.

My day totally ruined because i found live moving worms on the salad leaves!! Spit out the food and tried to throw up after. The salad was clearly not washed which means there can be all sorts of parasites, dangerous ones like listeria from soil on food that are not cooked. Cannot believe that an eating establishment are so careless and dont realize how important this is. There can be people who are pregnant or with immune dysfunction who come to restaurants with a level a trust in the quality of food they will put in their bodies. Didnt take pictures unfortunately because I was too traumatized. Unacceptable. Never happened ever before in Germany. Response: glad to hear the restaurant taking responsibility. It has been almost a week since the incident. I still feel traumatized that I'm finding it difficult to eat outside food. Finding it repulsive, have lost my appetite and struggling about food in...
