I am not sure who will come to this cafe if the service continues being this bad. the whole team of waiters and waitresses was Asian with limited German language skills. They were extremely slow and kept forgetting half of the things we ordered. First, left out an entire dish, then brought us a wrong cake. Every single table in the room had a problem with slow or non existent service. Everyone had to get up and look for the staff and chase their orders. The table with two ladies next to js was sitting for more than half an hour and no-one came to serve them, the other table hot their cakes, but it took at least another 45 minutes to receive drinks. It was already getting g dark in the late afternoon and no-one came to the idea to turn on the lights, so a woman from yet another table had to get up and find a switch. Meanwhile , a person who seemed like a manager, a European-looking guy was just standing behind a bar on his phone and did not seem to be helping anyone. The poor staff and customers. We felt sorry for them too since they are obviously not trained and it doesn’t look like anyone is planning to do it any time soon. The only good things were that the cakes were very delicious and fresh, and the interior is still very charming. I sincerely hope that someone will get the proper staff and service matching the cafe style and...

A hidden pearl, with a disappointing service and high prices. From outside it's hardly to discover, but once you decide to enter, you will find an ancient café ambient on the first floor. The location has a lovely architecture and a charming ambient. The choice of drinks, desserts and even breakfast-offers is diverse. There are plenty of sitting possibilities, which are mostly occupied. So be prepared to wait, before being seated or concerning a seat. Disappointing was the service. It was simply too hectic/stressed, didn't smile at all, no personal interaction given and not really polite. Too bad for such charming place. The cappuccino ordered was tasty. The choco-pear cake was fresh and delicious, although not much pear was included. Lastly, the prices are unfortunately too high, for what you get. The cheapest coffee offered was an espresso for 2,50€. C'mon, better prices must be possible. In general it was ok and worth visiting. Would I visit it again? Not sure, but rather not. Anyway, try it out if you're around. EXTRAS: There are funny pics on the male toilet. And at the very entrance coffee & bread are sold. The coffee is cheaper here than in the 1st floor. Besides, it's possible to reserve a...

We visited for a small snack and decided to try the homemade potato chips. However, what was served were actually potato skin chips, not the typical potato chips one would expect. The pieces were so fragile they fell apart when we tried to pick them up, making them difficult to eat.

It felt a bit disappointing to be charged 3.50 € for what seemed like just peeled potato skins, especially since we ended up not eating them. When we mentioned this, the response from the staff felt unprofessional – we were told that “this is our definition of potato chips”

If your version of “potato chips” is in fact potato skin chips, we would kindly suggest clarifying that on the menu. Something like “crispy potato skins” would help manage expectations better for guests who may not be familiar with your interpretation.

Unfortunately, we also experienced a long wait – we sat for nearly an hour without any service or check-in, which is why we ended up bringing the plate back to the counter ourselves.

We’re sharing this feedback not to criticize, but in the hope that it helps improve the experience for...

How I love this place, I mean, look at the Cafe set up, the furnishings and the delicious looks of the cakes. Everyone I know and even unknown people love it here. Tea, coffee, cakes are always a delight. Love the selection of teas. Lunch I'd love to see more hot dishes, my personal preference, hence the 4stars. I don't mind a good stulle or Flammkuchen, but I'd love some salads or soups at least, just some constructive feed. It's been always wonderful here, service is good too. Update May '22: Taking my daughter to this so beautiful and vintage style cafe was not a mistake at all. People get so nervous about kids in Cafe or restaurants, they need to loosen up. We enjoyed the spaghetti, Steinpilze truffle sauce together and it was very delicious. A good coffee and Kirschschorle later we were very content. The service staff were great, although busy. There's a new back terrace which looks life a beautiful delicate jungle but with table clothed tables. Very unique. The lunch menu is now bigger and delicious. A must go when you're in Berlin. The cakes speak for themselves!

Stepping into this cafe feels like discovering a hidden gem! It boasts an incredibly charming, old-fashioned aesthetic. The real highlight for me was the beautiful and tranquil terrace – a perfect spot to relax 😍. However, a significant drawback is that smoking is permitted on the terrace. This unfortunately created unpleasant smells, which was especially noticeable while trying to enjoy their savory dishes. On the plus side, the staff were genuinely friendly. While they seemed a little busy, perhaps slightly understaffed, it wasn't a major issue and is understandable these days. Food-wise, the Americano was a standout – truly excellent. The avocado bread was decent, hitting the spot. They also have a tempting display of cakes that looked delicious, though I didn't get a chance to try one this time. I really appreciate the blended restaurant/cafe concept and the variety they offer. Despite the smoking issue on the terrace, I'd definitely recommend this spot and would come back.
