Cafe Holzmarktperle — Restaurant in Berlin

There are times you enter a place that has a character. This is definitely one of those places. Every wall, chair and relic has its own unique character. The drinks are quite good as well. We enjoyed sitting there and enjoying our coffee (and reading our books). I think you can sit here and work too which is an added bonus. Super nice café, cute interior and relaxed outside. The espresso is 2,50€ and the service is always smily and fast. Nice music and chill vibes in the afternoon. Since I work nearby, it is my go-to place for a bit of sun in winter days. Holzmarkt in general is one of the few places in Berlin where you can sit at the water and be a bit away from the streets traffic. The service at this place was terrible. The woman at the counter seemed unmotivated and unwilling to work. We were treated rudely when placing our order. In a coffee shop, the job is simple: take orders, prepare them properly, and ensure the customer is satisfied. Unfortunately, she only took the order.
