Trattoria La Bruschetta — Restaurant in Berlin

Arrived around 22:30. We realized we were late, but we asked for a table for 3 because the opening times said they are open untill midnight. First we were asked to order for takeaway, but then a different staff member told us we could take a seat at a table inside. The menu was thrown in our hands and we were asked to order immediately. We ordered 3 pizza's and 3 beers, the food was great! Really enjoyed the pizza's. When we weren't even done finishing our food, the waiter came to our table with the check. I told him i wanted to pay with card, and he immediately asked for a tip. I told him to raise the amount with a 10% tip, and he asked me for more. When i told him i found it really weird to ask for more tip than the customer offers, even more when you bring the check when we're still eating, he became mad and told us we arrived after closing time. When i told him the opening times on google said they are open untill midnight, he wanted to argue with me even more, so i told him that i wouldn't tip him at all after his behaviour. All of this happened 30 minutes before closing time, and there were two more tables present as well.

Our worst dinner in Berlin.

We were a large group of 11 girls. Unfortunately, we had a large order when we first ordered appetizers and then main dishes. But the waiter brought everything at once, so we had a table full of plates. It was not pleasant.

He unapologetically puts all the plates on the table and tells us in German that we have "alle zusammen" !

The fact that we didn't like the food is our opinion. Which we told both the waiters and the owner on the spot. We didn't want to argue, but he asked for our opinion. The pasta was extremely dry, the ravioli undercooked and overall the food had no taste.

After paying all, we waited for the whole group outside and the owner asked us again what was wrong.

He asked us where we were from and if we even knew, what Italian cuisine should taste like. He was quite rude.

He put the final nail in the coffin when he told me that spaghetti carbonara should be DRY :) Nice try.

After this opinion, I really had...

I had dinner twice at this restaurant. I tasted Pizza, Pasta, Tiramisu, Wine, and Espresso. Those were quite delicious and thanks, I'd just say 4 out of 5.

The drawback: If you're alone at the dinner, the service is reduced apparently. The waiter also didn't even look at the table or at me when I order sth. Imagine, people look at each other's eyes when they toss beer and say "prost!". Afterwards, the same waiter went to the other table 4 and even made a welcoming small talk.

If the bill is important to have a warm attitude, I already paid 28 Euros for pasta, wine and tiramisu. Probably almost 1.5 times more than a usual table with 1 person at this restaurant.

Attitude is as important as the taste of the food. I don't think I will visit this...
