What a place. Without a doubt, it was the best cinnamon roll I had all my life. It's absolutely insane. I am back in India, but my mouth still waters when I think about it :D Btw, their grilled cheese sandwich is no laggard either. Just melts. Geiler Laden! Wir waren hier, um im Studio zu arbeiten, wollten aber eine kleine Stärkung, bevor es losging. Zunächst einmal: Holzmarkt? Was ist das für ein geiler Ort! Und dann haben wir die Backpfeife gesehen mit dem schlichten Schild "Grillen Cheese Sandwich" und dachten uns: Hell yeah! Ich habe ganz klassisch das normale Grilled Cheese bestellt und mein Kollege mit Salami. Sehr gutes Brot, das auch selbst hergestellt wird, und toller Käse. Perfekte Röstaromen und Cheese Pull. Für 4,50 € eine perfekte Stärkung, die auf jeden Fall als Soul Food funktioniert. Es hat dann auch plötzlich heftig angefangen zu regnen, was das ganze noch einmal Leckerer gemacht hat. Mein Kollege mochte die Salami allerdings nicht. Die habe ich dann auch probiert und muss die Meinung teilen, da gibt es deutlich bessere Alternativen als die ausgewählte Salami. Dennoch ein toller Laden! Zur Location muss ich dann nicht mehr viel sagen, beeindruckender Ort und die Mitarbeiter super liebe und zuvorkommend.

Außer Zimt und ein bisschen Apfel fehlt auch jegliche geschmackliche Tiefe. Die schwäbischen Bretzeln sind ganz und gar nicht schwäbisch. Letzte Woche konnte ich ich das Original noch in Reutlingen probieren (und selbst dort wird es zunehmend schwieriger, gute Laugengebäcke zu finden). Diese Bretzel hier hat rein gar nichts mit dem Original zu tun: Sie ist zu dick, außen weich und nicht knusprig, schmeckt viel mehr nach Brötchen als nach Laugengebäck und es fehlt auch etwas Salz. Das Brot ist geschmacklich in Ordnung, jedoch ist die Kruste wie Gummi. Das trübt die Freude am Essen. Keine Empfehlung!

Went at early minutes of the opening hours, to just get a cup of coffee. Started to chat with the owner/staff with my crazy sense of humor while waiting for the coffee. They were amazing, both in their tolerance and their service. The passion and joy that they had for their place and their breads was visible in their eyes. Look at the hands that were filled with adoration baking bread as if it were a diamond, derived from a precious treasure that shines and flashes to mesmerize its fans and tell them I'm the (Backpfeife) I'm the bread.
