Coffee is ok: not great for Berlin standards but good but good for the area (yes the area is “developing”…the coffee itself is tasty, but the cappuccino foam is only semi hard and the service is a teenager managing to make some coffee in between her dating and party conversation with visiting “ digga” mates (in that order)….oh well.
Edit - Response to owner: thank you for the swift reply. The coffee (beans) itself was good the cappuccino only ok, there is definite work to do on the density of the milk. Not surprising as the waitress chucked the milk quickly on the coffee between two sentences to her buddy. Regarding the staff: it is your place so your rules. What her behavior clearly states is that the coffee place is not professional. I never had this at coffee places priding themselves on their coffee (and being praised for it) - so their actual business is coffee such as Godshot, coffee star, early birds. What I learned in 5 min is that two of the teenies have apparently spent the night together, that alcohol was needed for tonight’s party, that the waitress was not faithful or questioning it at least and that work was secondary as the Teenie boy made sarcastic remarks on her her not really working. All of this whilst he was laying on the couch next to the counter “man spreading” and she was nearly looking at customers and when with an attitude which made me feel like I was interrupting (I was :D). It was a first in many years of Berlin...
Read moreGreat place with lovely staff! Their flat white with oat milk is my favorite! 🙌
I was disappointed though with their so called „berry smoothie“ which was apple juice blended with frozen berries. I expect a smoothie to be a bit more nutritious (containing plant milk, more fruit or veggies, seeds/oats etc.) especially when it costs 6 €.
Read moreI’ve never left a poor review but unfortunately I have to mention my experience here. I initially went in for a matcha and they charged my card before realising they don’t have any left. It’s fine, it happens! They told me I’d receive a refund on my card within three days but that never happened. I was passing by about a week later and popped in to ask if they could make me a matcha as the refund never came through, but they still hadn’t restocked. They also didn’t have change to refund me, and they asked me to come back a third time on another day when they would supposedly have change to refund me. I was passing by again about a week after that and when I went in they had finally restocked their matcha so I just asked for one instead of a refund. When I finally tried it, it was just warm oat milk with big clumps of undissolved matcha powder in it (see picture). Please don’t serve matcha and charge people 3.80€ for it unless you have trained your baristas how to make it. Unfortunately won’t be...
