Duo Sicilian Ice Cream — Restaurant in Berlin

I have an unfortunate theory about duo. It used to be my favorite ice cream in Berlin, hands-down – the texture was incredible. The flavors were better than any other, it was extremely creamy, and quite inventive with the flavor palette. Recently, however, I’ve noticed a change in the quality. What was once thick and luscious ice cream has become lighter and more air filled. The flavor is also not as intense as it used to be, especially the chocolate. This is a typical texture for ice creams that are developed for supermarkets and are pumped full of air, deep frozen, and sent onto the masses. I’m wondering if duo is looking for a massive expansion or trying to find sellers who will sell their product to a much wider audience, and is no longer making ice cream in the same small batch way that they did in years past. Giving this a 4 because the flavour of the gelato was great but the pistachio dipping sauce, which I feel like is the hype around this place, is incredible in theory but messy in practice. So first off, of course the pistachio sauce is quite sweet so if you’re not into that, it probs won’t be for you. Second, the impracticality: The sauce freezes onto the ice cream and then when you’re trying to eat the ice cream it comes off in big overwhelming chunks that easily fall to the ground, leaving you upset 🥺 I’d go back and get it in a cup. Except that having gelato in a cup is much less fun...

Leider sind die Zeiten vorbei, als Duo Ice hohe Eisqualität und Service zu guten Preisen angeboten hat.

Preis Hoch, Qualität runter. Das Eis war mal echt lecker. Einer der Gründe warum wir Jahrelang Kunde waren und gerne das Eis Literweise in großen Einheiten besorgt haben.

Die neuste Filiale an der Schönleinstr. macht das Kaputt was in der Skalitzer Straße mühevoll aufgebaut wurde!!! 4,8 bei ~4.7oo Bewertungen. Stand 09/2024

Die Ladeneinrichtung spartanisch, kann einem gefallen oder nicht.

Das die Beschreibung an der Wand im Hintergrund mit fehlenden Lettern kämpft, naja!... kann man noch Verkraften und hoffen das der Chef in Kürze mit der Leiter anrückt.

Der Hammer ist aber, das man am Montag bei schönstem Sonnenschein von zwei Mädels bedient wird die zum Lachen in den Keller gehen.

Ihr habt ein leckeres Produkt und Kunden die heiss 🔥 darauf sind und echt Zeit in kaufen nehmen um es in den Händen zu halten.

Was gibt es schlimmeres als so eine Bedienung und das gleich Doppelpack!

Es wird eine Fresse gezogen, nach dem Motto sprich mich bloß nicht an.... Die Kundin vor uns hat es nicht gecheckt und kam mit der Frage daher "Was ist Bacio?" "Schokolade mit Haselnuss" kam als Antwort, in einem Tonfall so kalt wie das Eis selber, das Kundin sich vermutlich gewünscht hätte, die Frage nie gestellt zu haben!! An der Stelle wäre man auf Bacio eingegangen und hätte was lustiges gesagt "Haselnuss Küsst liebevoll Schokolade und das schmeckt man" in der Skalitzer Straße hätte man vielleicht noch probieren können... nicht hier!!!
