Absolutely loved my experience here. Incredible quality food and wonderful service. I came in late last night and though it was full, they were able to fit me in before another reservation arrived. I ordered the sausage plate and I don't think I've ever had better quality sausage than that. Four different varieties, and the meat was top notch, perfectly spiced and organic. I felt bad because as an American, in my first month as an expat, I am still getting used to the fact that it is not considered pushy or impatient here for a customer to flag down a server to ask for the bill when a restaurant is busy! (Americans - I talked with German friends about this and you are NOT seen as interrupting their service to other tables if you flag a server down politely even if the place is very busy. Don't be shy.) They were so kind about the confusion when the next reservation arrived. I'll definitely be back; all the other meals I saw looked delicious and I'm eager to try the other menu items. And I won't be afraid to speak up...

Chef Maik must be a culinary genius. This is a secret gem that is well known to the locals around and I’m glad I discovered it before it gets too famous. A large part of the menu changes not every week, but every day! And it’s all good. Very solid cooking. Delicious flavors and combinations that really work well. For example, the classic brussel sprout crowned with plums wrapped in bacon!

I’m a very picky eater. This has exceeded my expectations.

Restaurant itself is very cozy, friendly, fun and not pretentious at all. Servers are all kind and cordial. Some may think it is a bit on the pricier end but honestly, the ingredients are really high quality and it is worth it.

Make sure to make a reservation or else you won’t get seats.

Highly...

My Schnitzel was dry and the meat extremely thin and tasteless. The online picture shows that it should have been accompanied by a sauce I did not get. I picked this restaurant because of its good reviews. The compromised food quality and overcharge on vegetables were most likely because I did not speak German. They charged me 9.5 Euros extra for two small extra vegetables. The other meat dish with the same number of vegetables was only two euros more expensive than the one I picked. The waiter wanted to take the remainder of the money without giving back the change. The change was more than the tip I was going to leave. When asked she did not give me a small change and I had to ask again. As a tourist I felt cheated and the experience...

Great atmosphere with groups of friends and families dining and just having a cosy time together. This lovely restaurant is situated in an upscale neighbourhood and was quite crowded for a weekday evening so probably a good idea to make a reservation. We didn’t call/book in advance but owner was still accommodating. Slightly pricey for Berlin but you get quality German food. The sausages and potato salad is highly recommended. Paired with a side of herb salad and a draft beer, the meal was hearty and delicious. The mushroom soup was a tad too salty for our taste but all in all, still a spot you’d want to check out.
