C+ Bakery — Restaurant in Berlin

I feel a bit hesitant to share this, but I feel it’s important to provide feedback based on my recent experience. Unfortunately, I had to reduce the rating for the service due to some issues with my birthday cake order.I placed my order nearly two months in advance and provided a clear briefing with images to ensure everything was well understood. I also followed up at several points to confirm that all the details were in place. On the day of pickup, I had initially planned to arrive at 6 pm, but due to traffic, I informed the owner that I would be there around 7 pm. They reassured me that this wouldn’t be a problem. When I arrived, however, the cake was still being worked on, and I was asked to wait. I explained that I couldn’t, as I had all my belongings with me in the taxi, and I was there only to pick up the cake.When the cake was finally ready, I noticed it was missing the ribbons and glitter cherries that had been part of the original design. While I can’t recall exactly what was said about the ribbons, I was surprised when I was told that glitter cherries would cost an additional 1 euro each. This was information that could have easily been shared with me in advance, but instead, it was brought up as I was preparing to pick up the incomplete cake. Since I didn’t have any cash on me, I had to skip this addition. That said, the design of the cake itself was quite nice, and the taste was good. The only issue was that the base of the cake was a bit too wet, which made me wonder if it was thoroughly baked or perhaps rushed, given the overall experience. The reason I initially chose to support this business was because I wanted to back a local owner, and I was reluctant to write this review. The owner did reach out by email to acknowledge the lack of communication regarding the cherries, but unfortunately, it didn’t change the fact that my birthday started off on a disappointing note. I sincerely hope this feedback will be taken as constructive and that improvements can be made in the future. A small gesture like adding a couple of glittered cherries to the cake would have gone a long way in making up for the oversight, but instead, I left with an unfinished product. I hope this experience can serve as a learning opportunity for the business, and that others won’t encounter similar issues. Thank you...

I went to the shop to make sure if my order will be alright for 1 day before and she said yes 24hr notice. At the same day I noticed that she looked at my bf so weird but I didn’t say or anything.

So I made order more than 24 hours notice and the next day my bf went there to pick my birthday cake up to surprise and we have the shooting and we hired the team for video and photo turns out that the cake couldn’t finished by time and I didn’t receive any message at all by email. No solution or anything and as I have noticed it was right, that she treat my German bf so bad, unfriendly and unprofessional, no service mind, no business mind, no solution or anything just let him go out to wait.

Then become to the cake part totally worse. The Color that I sent the reference and the reality one I got is totally different, the shade of tone. Also the taste I feel like I eat all the sugar in my mouth. Which I used to found that comment but didn’t expected to be this horrible. Idk if it’s the owner style but what I got it seems like you just finished the first time baking class and bake the cake.

The owner, is an absolute gem! The love and passion for this space shine through in every detail. You can tell that Caris pours her heart into making it a haven of joy and deliciousness.

But wait, there's more! This isn't just your ordinary bakery – it's a cozy place on top, offering this space for workshops and events. How delightful and unique is that? It's like stumbling upon a hidden treasure in the heart of Berlin!
