Gianni Eis — Restaurant in Berlin

3 stars only for pistachio ice cream( and the only good one). I was coming to this place several times a week, and i liked it, but I am not coming back. I was always surprised why there are not a lot of people in there but I see some other reviews about bad disrespectful seller's behaviour. Today, I got the ice cream in other place and was walking down the street and passing by this place since it's where I live and always walk with my dog. We were walking slowly, and I had to sit down on the wooden kind of bench( not a table or a chair!!)on the tree in front of this place because I felt sick. I sat down literally 5 seconds until i realized the seller was showing some weird signs of disgust. I understand he got angry I didn't get ice cream from him today but i think he could show more respect and talk and explain properly if there was a problem.and as I said, I sat down not to eat the ice cream in front of him but because I felt unwell. 100% he recognised me as I was coming a few times a week to get ice cream and I was so surprised by his behaviour today. This is definitely not the way you treat your loyal customers ( and anti authentic Italian). There are bunch of other ice cream places in this street that care about...

Went here as one of my stops during Gelato Week, and it disappoint at all. I tried a pear and mascarpone gelato (two flavors I wouldn't ordinarily try together), and while it was great, I was more impressed by the quality and authenticity of the gelato. When I saw that Gianni was run by an Italian lady who spoke Italian, I should've known I was in for an authentic treat... The taste immediately took me back to a gelato shop in Italy. No other stops on my Gelato Week tour came close to Gianni. Even though it will take me almost an hour to get there, it's worth the trip...I...

We have been eating ice cream already for 3rd season (3 years) here and are simply blown away by the delicious ice cream. Never previously having been a big fan of ice cream, this is ice cream to dream about, to lust after. The ice cream is so delicious, aromatic, with a texture that complements the taste. Service is great - friendly and attentive. I have no doubt that this is one of the must-visit ice cream cafes...
