Had a very poor experience here. Ordered the rucola pizza and a lasagne, the lasagne was obviously pre-made with rubber for cheese and dry around the edges. This was tolerable, but within the first bite of pizza we felt something crunchy and sandy. Which turned out to be a chunk of wet DIRT in the rocket (which obviously was not washed)
We notified a male wait staff who took the pizza back without saying anything. We asked what was happening and he casually explained another one was being made. We politely said we no longer wanted to dine there as we did not feel safe.
The male staff member got verbally aggressive very fast and kept insisting that nothing was wrong with the lasagne and we had to pay for it. After trying to reason with him, he was yelling, pointing his fingers in our face and violating personal space - overall making a huge scene in the restaurant. Eventually he screamed at us to ‘fuck off’ multiple times, muttering ‘fucking tourists’ and other extremely unprofessional words.
I could tell the other staff were trying to calm him down and after reading other reviews on this page, this isn’t the first time this man has verbally assaulted his customers. Very embarrassing for a big man like him starting a fight with two young females. Awful staff, bad hygiene and absolutely no care for customers. If I could give it zero...
Read moreSecond time I came here for dinner and decided to leave a review. I believe this restaurant has lots of potential, unfortunately it is clearly mismanaged. Badly trained staff, first of all. But most importantly, the food: have been surprised by the low quality of many ingredients. For example, ordered a pizza last time labeled as "pizza of the week" (or similar) topped with mainly fresh tomatoes. Found out that they dared to use tomatoes of the kind that taste like plastic, have no colour, that you often find in discounters around here during winter (cheapest stuff available). I am wondering, why do they even offer such a dish if they cannot provide a decent quality of its main ingredient? This is simply unprofessional and is lacking respect towards the customer (fresh tomatoes in winter, anyway = bad idea). See, the thing is, with so many professional and really skilled Italian restaurants around nowadays, the owner should definitely reconsider his business model and set new priorities (ever heard of seasonality?). As for me, I am definitely not coming back here, as I don't appreciate any kind of ignorant or random...
Read moreOutstanding addition to an area that has many good pizza places already.
In a city that is overrun by high quality neapolitan pizza, this one is different than the others. The Pizza was very crisp on the bottom, the crust was still fluffy inside though. The toppings were intense. It is a wood fired oven and the pizzabaker lifts the pizza into the smoke for a couple of seconds which gives the pizza a subtle smokey flavor.
This is no just another neapolitan standard pizza, this one is different and that makes it great in my opinion. I hope they can keep this standard up.
I will definitely come back to try more pizza and their other dishes. This review is just for the Pizza with...
