I moved to Berlin (Neukoll) on May 2022. Walking around Neukoll I have found this lovely place and I got so impressed that I had to stop for dinner. What can I say... one of the best place in the city, stunning location, amazing,lovely place to spend time with family and friends. The team is lovely, well trained,friendly and professional. Vat and Lek, the managers, are simply the BEST. They are so friendly, polite, italian food experts and always ready to meet the customers needs in full. Once you walk into Oliveto you feel at home straight away. High quality of food, from pizza ingrediente to starters and mains, great wine and beers too!! I highly recommend Oliveto as an italian oasi in Berlin to enjoy great food, amazing service and lovely atmosphere. 5 stars well deserved for this...

Fast and friendly service, sometimes a bit overly charming and 'funny'. Pasta was creamy, perfect dose of sauce. A must is the rucola salad, it's a massive portion and exceptionally well seasoned. The pizza dough is also worth a detour: the dough is perfect in consistency with large air bubbles inside which is a sign of quality. The taste of the dough is nice, perhaps a wee, almost unnoticably bit too sweet - but that's us intensely looking for 'mistakes' ;-) - however properly baked in the oven. The salami of the spicy pizza was a bit too thickly sliced in my view, it would have been even better with a thin spicy fennel salami. Not a bad Italian spot! I believe they specialize in pizzas, which neither my date nor I actually ordered, but our gnocchi and spaghetti were both very solid. We started with the bread and olives, which were fantastic! But we had to borrow oil from another table because they forgot to bring it to us. Our main courses were great, though I'd say maybe a little pricey for the quantity? The service was really friendly when they were around and they love handing out free limoncellos at the end of your meal, which is great, but sometimes we were just sat waiting for them to come by for a while.
