I Moirtifami — Restaurant in Berlin

I Moirtifami is an honest and genuine Calabrian/ Italian restaurant. When you arrive you get the feeling of being invited to your friends' home, with the commitment of mutual respect that comes along with such an invitation.

The vegetable antipasti is heavenly and is a must for me every time I visit.

I Moirtifami makes, alongside with one other restaurant in Berlin (that I know of) the best homemade pasta in town. Some dishes are fixed on the menu and a few are turning over, depending on season and accessibility.

They have a small but attractive selection of meat and fish and a great and affordable selection of wines to go with whatever you decide to eat.

Since we live relatively near to the restaurant we come quite often and we love to bring friends. Even our many Italian friends - who are picky with Italian food abroad - appreciate the true feeling of "home" being provided by the room, menu and staff at I Moirtifami.

So - the place is very much recommended by me. Especially if you want a genuine Italian food...

GREAT FOOD, UNPLEASANT EVENING

The food and place was amazing! We wanted to have a traditional italian food and that hit the targets with delicious and homemade pasta and antipasti.

The service also was amazing, the girl who helped us with our order spoke Spanish and that was really appreciated especially if you come to dinner with people with language barrier.

The only downside from this whole experience was the owner (we believed it was) was very agitated and was yelling to their staff and moving bottles during the whole time we were there, making our evening very unpleasant.

Perhaps wasn't his day, but isn’t fair the way he was yelling and screaming to the two ladies who were doing the most in one of the hottest days in Berlin, as well for the guests who they only want is a calm evening.

Probably we’re not coming back if he keeps continuing this attitude...

As someone who eats frequently, I must admit the food quality that is without a question, of an extremely high standard. The quality is also consistent and has a great price, one can get a fantastic meal for just under 10€. And for that I write this review, as Moirtifami is not only a place to eat, no, no but also a place to relax and to enjoy oneself, the owner of the restaurant treats every single guest like family!! The workers there as well are very kind and seem to always help you with a smile and without any hesitation.

In conclusion is you want a place that makes you feel at home and treats you like a king or queen for that matter then Moirtifami is the place to seek, as its truly (in my opinion) one of the few gold...
