Just a Little Crush — Restaurant in Berlin

Really odd experience especially bearing in mind the rest of the reviews here, so I will try to be blunt and straight forward.

Price range for not central Berlin bearing in mind service/quality ratio was definitely not there.

The place is completely self service, you have to pick up your utensils, your food, drinks yourself, again we felt that for such a small place and that price range it wasn’t nice experience.

We ordered Menu of the day dish which was Brioche with scrambled eggs and Avocado. The sauce was extremely sweet meanwhile the eggs had no taste. I kept on searching why the dish tasted so odd I finally tasted the avocado mash separately and realized that it was either not well refrigerated or old as it had muddy old taste. The oven baked tomato was stone cold and the tea leafs used for garnish might have looked colorful but felt very annoying as they tasted bitter and you needed to push them to the side for each bite.

We also ordered Lotus cheesecake, and that was even bigger disappointment. The only good thing was consistency, it was creamy and smooth, however it tasted like cheapest grocery store frozen cake. No depth of flavor, no proper usage of Lotus. And for 4.5€ a peace I would rather go to nearby Bakery.

Had double espresso which didn’t have creamy top, showcasing that their coffee bean grinder is not calibrated correctly. The cappuccino has a nice micro foam, however the coffee itself didn’t feel like a single blend but rather cheap bean mix. Again for that price you can have artisanal coffee in the neighborhood.

Overall it’s been few hours after visiting this establishment and I feel nauseous and ill, so hoping it doesn’t turn into...

Die Blumen als Deko sind weg. Es ist immer noch konstant von der Qualtät her sehr gut. Sehr netter Service und es schmeckt alles.

Ich möchte meine Rezension anpassen. Über die letzten Monate hat sich einiges gebessert. Der Zubereitung der Essen hat sich wesentlich beschleunigt und es kommt auch zu keinen Verwechslungen mehr. Der Cappuccino ist wesentlich leckerer und eure Smoothies sind auch sehr lecker. Das mit den Blumen auf dem Teller verstehe und mag ich immer noch nicht aber so soll es sein. 😎 Komme trotzdem weiterhin.

Hallo ihr Lieben, ich möchte eine ehrliche und konstruktive Bewertung abgeben. Euer Laden ist schön hergerichtet. Eure Karte (Bagelangebote) an der Wand ist nicht übersichtlich, da man den Namen mit dem was drin enthalten ist nicht zusammen sofort erkennt. Habe 2x Avocadobagel bestellt und die waren lecker. Aber da kommen wir auch schon zum eigentlichen. Ich war 2 x bei euch und habe mehrere Sachen bestellt. Jedesmal haben ich Minimum 25 min gewartet. Der Laden war nicht voll. Dazu kommt, dass die Bestellung falsch gekommen ist. Also entweder falscher Bagel oder bei der Kollegin komplett falsches Essen. Das ist 2x passiert. Die Kolleg:innen sind nett. Aber ich sehe wie mehrere Bowls rausgehen die nach mir bestellt wurden. Das kann nicht sein. Der Teller, den ihr sicherlich liebevoll anrichtet ist nicht praktisch zu essen. Die Blumen darauf will ich garnicht essen und dann legt ihr die Serviette darunter. Ich brauche also jedesmal ne neue Serviette, da diese schon dreckig ist. Habe einen Latte bestellt und der kam irgendwie in einem etwas kleineren Glas und der war zur Hälfte Kaffee und zur Hälfte Schaum oben. Also eher ein Cappuccino. Das bedeutet der Milchanteil ist zu wenig. Ich glaube das ihr viel Potenzial habt aber ihr müsst noch einige Prozesse...

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint. I got the Crush Meets Brioche and it was so good. Everything was actually really delicious, and my only regret is that I couldn't try more things! Their coffee was quite strong and they not only offer soy and oat milk, but almond milk too!
