2023: this has become a regular place for us to have coffee and a croissant. For all the croissants over trued in Berlin, this is the best Iāve had. Almond croissant is a muy-try as well, but I lean slightly towards preferring the original version. Their brunch is pretty innovative and tasty as well.
2022:We went to this cafe on a Sunday 45 minutes before it closed, we had two pastries, a pain au chocolat and a torsade and two lattes, it came down to ā¬12.
The Torsade was good, quite chocolaty, but the pain au chocolat was amazing! Everything you would expect a pain au chocolate to be, a fair amount of chocolate and an amazing pastry.
My two main pain points is that the food options was not very big, the two I mention plus croissants and that they were almost undoing our tables as we were having the coffee. Both of these could be related to the time we showed up, but we left 15 minutes before closing time.
Nevertheless we canāt wait to come ack and try their brunch, we are hoping itās going to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA cute French cafe in Berlin! I dined here for breakfast and ordered the avocado toast ā I believe itās called the vegan tartine on the menu. I also asked for some eggs on the side or on the toast if possible. The food was super delicious. The scrambled eggs were made just right and the avocado toast was flavourful and I liked the mixed greens salad on the side. Loved the pickled onions and abundance of cherry tomatoes on my avocado toast. The only thing Iām a bit pressed about is the fact that I was charged almost 9 euros for the side of scrambled eggs ā that seems a bit ridiculous. I think I was charged that amount because that was the price of an egg omelette on the menu, but an omelette with several ingredients is a bit different from your everyday basic scrambled eggs. The service was also a bit slow, although it was only a Wednesday morning...

Was funny to see what is a typical French breakfast with bread, jam and butter for example (things that we, as Ftench guys, don't eat anymore but more our grandparents). I liked the fact to find Ftench products for sale inside and I can tell you it is really typical ! Was happy too to find the "chestnut cream" as a pot flower on the table, I loved it and it reminded me my childhood.
Concerning what I order, a slice of French bread with salmon and chia seeds, I didn't find very tasty and even a bit dry. But I came more here for my German friends so all good.
If you a looking a French restaurant, I can only...
