Mahlzeit Kreuzberg — Restaurant in Berlin

We arrived in the late morning, the place hardly had any people sitting in there. The service was really slow, however. They also had their own variation of a Flat White, which is fine, but didn't tell me before hand, after which he offered to make the one that's more commonly served in Berlin. However, the waiter forgot about this and had me waiting another 10 minutes before approaching me after several tries of making eye contact with him. The new coffee was also not that great. As a few other guests came in, it was clear that they weren't particularly happy either with the service either, judging by the amount of orders being returned. When we wanted to leave and pay, we had to wait about 10 minutes before he attended us (at the till) so we could pay. Summarized: Terrible service Bad...

We booked the Yard hotel for our vacation, which happens to be right across from this cafe. We were so lucky 🥹 we came here every morning in our vacation bc we loved it so much.

More than the food and coffee, the owner and the lady in the kitchen made us feel like they’re hosting us in their living room. Everything is so soothing, beautiful and calming. I loved their mini sandwiches with the sweet harisa and their INSANE poppyseed cake. The owner is just the most welcoming person I met in Berlin and I can’t recommend...

Mahlzeit is a gorgeous space with unbelievably delicious food. Many options rotating to new dishes by day/week. Vegan and plant based options as well as yummy non-vegetarian/meat options.
