Neretva Grill — Restaurant in Berlin

Absolutely outstanding restaurant — if I could give it six stars, I absolutely would! Everything here is flawless: from the impeccable cleanliness to the speed and warmth of the service, and of course, the superb quality of the food.

You can immediately tell how much care goes into every detail — even the double tablecloths, something almost impossible to find in Germany, and always spotless. The meat is phenomenal, cooked to perfection every single time, and the prices are incredibly low for what you get.

The staff deserve a special mention: they’re consistently friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive, no matter the time — whether you come early for lunch or for dinner, the service is just as flawless.

Das Lokal wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zeitlich gesehen kann es keinesfalls bei der heutigen Gastronomie mithalten. Traditionell darf es gerne sein, jedoch ist die Atmosphäre kühl, pragmatisch und nicht einladend. Es ist gefühlt ein deutsch kroatisches Renter Exil in einem wirtschaftlich schwächeren Lokal im kroatischen Hinterland (mitten in Berlin). Das Auge isst bekanntlich mit, die Anrichte der Gerichte ist teilweise wahllos auf irgendwelche Platten aus der Großküche serviert. Keine schönen Teller, Schalen, Dekoration oder aufregend präsentiert. Das Gemüse ist TK Ware im fertigen Brokkoli, Karotten, Blumenkohl mix, fertig Soßen mit Geschmacksverstärker, Kroketten, Pommes sind aufgetaut und nichts besonderes oder hausgemacht. Es sind Produkte die ich beim Edeka in der Parallelstraße selber kaufen kann. Wenn ich mich für ein Lokal entscheide, wünsche ich mir etwas mehr Eigenleistung, Produkte die Euch ausmachen, ein Erlebnis kulinarisch sowie eine einladende Atmosphäre. Wenn die Generationen bis zur Boomer Generation immer weniger werden, dann hat das Lokal in paar Jahren ein echtes Problem. Es kann bei weitem nicht mit der heutigen Konkurrenz mithalten. Es spricht junge Menschen (die den größten Teil darstellen in Berlin) nicht an. Keine richtigen Alternativen oder Ersatzprodukte für vegetarisch/vegan. Die bekommen dort basic Beilagen oder Salat. Das Lokal hält an veralteten Konzepte fest und nutzt das Potenzial nicht aus. Man könnte den Menschen Kroatien moderner sowie interessanter präsentieren mit Livemusik, Lebendigkeit, Lebenslust, verschiedene Events, mehr originale Produkte aus Kroatien an Getränken,...

Charming little international restaurant featuring an eclectic menu with a heavy Balkan influence, and apparently really popular with the locals. So popular that they all go at the same time and then clear out at the same time, leaving the whole place to me. Just luck, right?

Nevertheless, it wasn't awkward at all, and my server was a very polite Croatian man who recommended me the pork steak with fried onion strings, rice and fries. My recommendation: listen to his recommendation.
