This is not your average fried chicken place, I have been waiting for a whole to try it. They have an inside area which seemed a bit stuffed to me, so we sat outside which is super nice specially if the weather is nice. For starters, we ordered the Nashville hot wings, biscuits, coleslaw and 2 Jarritos. The wings tasted really original, were spicy just to the right level and the biscuits were so soft and buttery, I loved them. I was a bit disappointed when i found out that the coleslaw is just german red cabbage salad, I believe the title of this side needs to be changed in order not to confuse any customers. We ordered chicken, mash and gravy for the main dish. It had a really homemade taste to it, pieces are huge and are so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The mash and gravy was so creamy, I wish the portion was a bit bigger. The prices are expensive, but it is elaborated because of the corn fed organic chicken they use and high quality of ingredients in general. I want to come back for the wings, biscuit and try their pickles and fried chicken sandwich. You should definitely give them a try

Ordered the Nashville Chicken Wings, the Chicken Sandwich and a portion of fries. Both chicken dishes came with super crispy chicken and very well seasoned. Usually fried chicken in Berlin is over-seasoned with tonnes of salt and msg on it, but this one was spot on. Another thing I really liked was as the spice level. My lips did feel a bit hot, so I assume for normal people it’ll be spicy. However, there are 3 things I didn’t like, which made me give 4/5 instead the full 5/5. 1. Fries - they came out hot and slightly crunchy, but after 1-2 min they got soggy. Maybe double fry them 2. Chicken to Bun ratio in the sandwich - Chicken thigh meat seemed small. If it’s due to them using Kikok meat, then it’s fine, I’d rather eat high quality chicken over a huge chunk of bad chicken. 3. Waiting time - it takes way too long. I understand, they probably are new and understaffed. But that might become an issue in the future. However, they made it up with great service. Overall, it was awesome. Great please, will def come back to try the rest of the menu. 👍

I looove southern fried chicken. And was looking forward to digging into this place. The chicken itself was ok. I was expecting more flavor. One of the pieces had blood coming from the inside (from inside the bone). I asked the owner if this was normal and he said it doesn’t happen a lot but it can happen. He was friendly and asked if I wanted him to fry it again, but I said no. I didn’t want the fried chicken to be double fried. :-/ The mashed potatoes and gravy were also ok. I felt they lacked some flavor as well. Also, it took nearly 20 minutes to get my food. Note that when I arrived, there were only two people dining there and eating already. Would I go back and try the same dish? No. Would I be open to go back and try their chicken wings, and biscuits, yes? Sometimes one experience doesn’t define all others, which is why I always give most restaurants the benefit of the doubt… especially if the service is friendly.

Ordered via ubereats.

I was rooting for you Nola! As an US-American I wanted so badly for this place to be good, as there‘s not enough options out here for US-style fried chicken with all the southern fixings.

The food arrived cold, but it had a ways to travel so initially I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

However: the chicken, while crispy, wasn‘t well seasoned or spiced, and way too greasy to the touch / taste upon eating & reheating.

The mashed potatoes could have been ok but it was hard to tell as they tasted super bland due to the overpoweringly bad taste of the gravy, which was not well seasoned or spiced - overall flavor balance was just not on point, it tasted like unflavored chicken / veg broth without any proper herbs and seasonings, but still left a super aggressive aftertaste.

The slaw arrived warm, and didn‘t have very much flavor, and the main taste I got from the pickles was vinegar.

Overall, 30€ for a two-piece, a side, 2 biscuits and slaw when the flavors aren‘t there, was a bit like highway robbery and unfortunately I feel that I have made the same dish better (pickled included) at home.

Despite all these things, the biscuits were fire! I‘d order them again, but maybe go a little lighter on the baking soda in the recipe because I could taste traces of it in the...
