Vater - Bar in Neukoelln — Restaurant in Berlin

Staggeringly rude. Have literally never walked out on a bar before. Refused to serve me anything I asked for even when they had the ingredients, insulted my drink ordering in a vaguely racist way, then took my order and didn't make it, when I went to check why it never came he directly told me he had no intention of making it because he didn't like the order (which was a Manhattan, which he eventually admitted he had all the ingredients for but just refused to make). Just super bizarre and incomprehensible and jaw dropping bad...

We went to the bar with a group of nine people. Seven of us ordered cocktails, for no less than 10€ each (not even worth the price). The waiter told us it is “mandatory for every person to order drinks” and basically invited the two people that didn’t order a drink to leave the bar, which we of course did. Unreal. I have never seen this happen before. Definitely not coming back or recommending this...

not very stylish, decorated cheaply. not authentic at all (because of the plastic chairs and plastic palm tree), and I've been in Berlin-Neukölln for about 15 years. frequented mainly by tourists, not liked by berliners. good cocktails though.
