I've walked past this place a few times and it looked like it was new and lots of people inside everytime I went past. The pictures of the food outside looked great so we went in later when it was a bit quieter.
It was so popular today that a lot of the foods were sold out but we didn't mind because it helped us choose what to have and it all looked and smelled very tasty!
We were not disappointed, the soup was really nice and the meat really tender. The dumplings were really tasty and had proper pieces of meat inside, not processed meat. The dumplings were bigger and more filling than expected so some were taken home for later ☺️. We were also given a pot of tea on the house which was a very kind gesture.
The staff were very friendly and very happy to have a chat and were interested in their customers and what they thought of the food. They also told us about where the food is from and some extra information which was very nice.
We will definitely be back because we want to try ALL the food available there!
There isn't a toilet there as it is a small place but just down the road is one of those 50cent city toilets so you won't get caught short (unless you don't have 50cents, then may the force be...
Read moreTiny restaurant, cramped seating , small portions , high prices, terrible service.
We came here tempted by the instagram influencer marketing but were only disappointed.
The food is meh. A tiny bowl of soup called LAGMAN with overboiled noodles and vegetables with very small chunks of meat for 14 euros . The SAMSA was so small for 4.5 euros. They dont come with even a dip. The PLOV was also sad . The other bread LEPESCHKA was the worst. It took us 15 mins in that small room to grab attention of the staff to order. 2 our 4 orders were forgotten .
They should consider the menu , prices and seating arrangements. For a squeezed environment serving small portions , the prices are whooping . Also focus on taking orders and serving them. And give correct bills to their customers, and give them physical receipt to check. I had a doubt with the bill amount and asked for the receipt and they said they can send over mail. There is internet issue in the restaurant so I checked later to find that I paid for other things I did not order. The difference was not huge but still a shame. (Screenshot of Wrong...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurant experiences I had in Berlin. Tables are cramped together, requiring neighbor tables to stand up to move. The limited space means waiters were all behind the counter, making it hard to get their attention to order.
Despite the seemingly simple menu, the food took long to be prepared. We ordered plov, noodle soup, samsa, and bread. They didn't ask about samsa filling and brought the meat by default. It took them even longer to bring the bread, and by the time it arrived my friend had already finished her soup.
Quality-wise, it was okish, the plov had chewy, oily rice, we didn't like the meat filling of samsa and the bread was stale. Noodle soup was passable.
Adding to the frustration, they didn't provide a physical bill, rather a sent via email one. So we ended up paying for someone's else bill! Luckily it wasn't that much different to our bill.
While I strive to support small businesses, without either high quality food or service, it's challenging to overlook such...
