Restaurant Vineria Del Este — Restaurant in Berlin

This review is based on my last 2 visits at Vineria Del Este, which sadly have been more than disappointing. One time we had a reservation but due to a mix-up by the restaurant, they couldn’t find a free table for us and after checking their list of names, they simply told us, there was no table for us and walked away. We are not complaining about the mix-up, these things happen, but the way it was handled was more than rude and very unprofessional. As we like the food, we came back couple weeks later, this time no issue with the reservation, but we experienced very bad service. After waiting for 20 minutes we were asked what we wanted to eat. During our 3 hours stay, we were not asked once if we wanted to order anything else. We had to ask two times for the bill and even after asking the second time, we waited another 15 minutes until we could finally pay. I don’t recommend this place. The vibe inside and the service are nice, but the food and drinks… I can’t rate them more than 2/5. I’ve been and lived for years in Spanish locations and, sadly, this food has very little in common with that. Only tasty dish was the small squids. The cauliflower was barely eatable, with its combination of Indian spices and gorgonzola cheese (why?!?!!). The croquetas were initially cold inside (just taken out of the freezer probably), and then the wrong one (I asked the vegetarian ones and they brought me the ones with ham), plus I’m still digesting them now (which is the morning after i was there). We really enjoyed our stay at Vineria Del Este. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We were asked several times whether everything is alright or whether we want some more wine. Can't say anything regarding white wine but the red wine is really good. I recommend the tempranillo! I also recommend trying the tapas when you come here. It's really tasty and having always a small bite to your wine is the best you can do. We would come back at any time! The Vineria is quite popular in that area. Hence, you should consider to book a...
