SANDWICHart CAFE I Charlottenburg — Restaurant in Berlin

Visiting for the Berlin marathon, and have been pretty impressed with cafes here, UNTIL this one. I came here to have a coffee, but on arrival I was on the phone with my doctors office, so I sat down outside to finish the call outside. This was not to be interrupted on my call, or to be rude while ordering a coffee inside. I had two employees rudely yell at me for sitting there. I explained I was on the phone and would be ordering soon, and both of them proceeded to continue to tell me to get up or order something (while I was on the call). They embarrassed me in front of the other patrons. Needless to say, you will never be getting...

I can not recommend this place. It’s neither anywhere close to “art” in terms of creativity nor execution of the sandwiches. The advertised premium ingredients are nowhere to be seen. To the contrary, most meats and cheese are of lower quality soaked in grease and mostly on display for the better part of the day. I ordered a chicken sandwich which was barely edible. Sorry to say it. Canned ingredients and dry meat.

I also had a fresh orange juice which had way to much froth. The service was unconvincing, as well.

There is too much awry just to call it a bad day for this place. Sorry, but I recommend...

I don't know why we didn't venture there sooner! They have a nice selection of sandwich, pastries, and yogurts at an affordable price. Perfect for a quick business lunch. I would not recommend the Tabouleh salad. The mix of flavors somehow didn't fit together for me. We will come back for sure! Gotta try all these...
