Neapolitan pizza perfection. The restaurant nailed every aspect of the ideal Neapolitan pizza experience. The holy trinity of the dough, the sauce and the cheese is as good as it can get. The perfect ratios of the three with high quality ingredients and the signature of the pizza masters in the proper char on the crust. Just too good!
You can get creative with some interesting options on the menu (as did the friends I went to this place with) but the classic Margherita triumphs above all if you ask the purist in me.
Prenzlauer Berg or Berlin in general has plenty of good options for the classic Neapolitan pizzas and the Grain joins the list of some of the best.
While I would never complain about having a Neapolitan pizza stone-throws distance from my residence, I am definitely craving a bit of a mischief in pizza...

In this place they did their homework, they use quality ingredients and the dough is well raised (although a bit chewy). For those who are obsessed with authenticity, this place is definitely German and accommodates for German taste so don't expect traditional Italian ingredients pairings. The dough is rich but light, fluffy but well structured. The cornicione (crust) is abundant as custom for modern Neapolitan style, ingredients are tasty and recognizable, which is not always a given in German restaurants. Service was lovely and fast.
