The waiter who served us was rude, full of attitude and fake in his mannerisms. A soulless unpleasant tourist trap for visitors who don’t know any better! A young guy in his 20s. (I was there on 24.07.22 in the evening around 19.00). When I asked to change tables as the ladies bathroom door made loud noise every time someone used it (all it needs is a little padding to fix) and we were seated next to it, the waiter was almost passive aggressive, annoyed and rolled his eyes. „Yeah, go ahead then!! Choose!“..not a hint of warmth in his eyes. He obviously didn’t care how we as clients felt and were we comfortable or not. I could sense some bubbling resentment in him. Very unpleasant!!! I felt confused and uncomfortable. He couldn’t keep an eye contact or didn’t want to. He was indifferent, cold and if I had been alone, I would have walked out. Rude service. The waiter in question moved around like a robot, banged dishes, was rushing. Very bad vibes, absolute disrespect towards paying clients. The restaurant was almost empty so I don’t see what the problem was. Perhaps the fact that I spoke English and complained about the door upset him? Perhaps he thought I am annoying tourist? Which I am not and only visited their restaurant because a good friend recommended it to me. Not sure why some people choose to be in service if they don’t like it or don’t like to deal directly with people. Shame. If I was the boss, I would fire him today! Will never go back there! Food was acceptable. Not mind-blowing though. Hence I did leave tip but for the chef, not for this cocky annoyed little piece of ****! Unfortunately, to make the visit even worse, after finishing our meals, we realized that the food was also over priced for what it was. Tiny tapas portions for €4.90! All four bowls came in different times!! Go to Neukölln and you have delicious main course for what one tapas bowl at Transit costs. The sound of the toilet door still echoes in my mind…the devil is in the detail.

Transit is a Thai fusion spot with a unique concept — you order several small plates and get to try a variety of dishes, which makes it perfect if you’re in the mood for something fun and flavorful. Most small plates are €5.90, and there are also larger options if you’re really hungry. I went with my boyfriend, but I was the only one eating. I ordered five small dishes plus rice noodles as a side (they also offer rice, which is a great option too). These are more like add-ons or complements, and they’re cheaper than the main dishes. Honestly, the amount I got could easily serve two people. The cheese dumplings and the duck were my absolute favorites — so tasty! The atmosphere is modern and well-designed, with seating indoors and outside. Service was really quick — food came out shortly after ordering, which was a nice surprise. It’s a great place to go with friends and share lots of delicious plates. Highly recommended!

Update from 05/04/2022 They raised one euro per the dish AND charge 2 euros for TAP WATER. The waiter for the daytime on this day was so rude. I can see the end of the once well-flourished restaurant. =================================== One of Transit chains in Friedrichshain. The menu they offer itself is not bad at all even though they’ve got no new items since long time ago. And the staffs as well, I do not particularly find bad, when they could look less bored while working. But one thing I want to point out is the price of the dishes. When ordering at the restaurant oneself, one can get each small dish at 3.90€ but I’ve been wondering what reasonable reason is to charge “ONE EURO” when ordering on the delivery app. Since seeing this, I’ve only gone to the restaurant myself for the food. Please consider this when thinking of ordering from here.

There is much I love but some thing which are going the wrong way. I love the concept of asian food served tapas style on small affordable plates. A party of 4 should order 3 plates (3€/plate) each and share. Great idea!

The food is very tasty and amazingly all dishes are served at the same time even if you order 10 or more different ones. You have a selections of pork, beef, chicken and vegetarian options. I love the fresh summer rolls, yummy! Although you feel the quality suffering on a busy night on the weekend, the food is not so much on the point, spices and herbs not being used in the same perfect way, which made this place great.

The also can order quite good cocktails there, BUT prices has gone up ridiculous (10€ a glass), a Mai Tai is now known as Transit Thai, which means smaller glass, even less rum inside and no longer served burning. It used to be really strong (at least for me), now its more like a juice and I don't drink cocktails a lot.

So ending up paying so much more for bad cocktails than for good food earns that place only 3 stars any longer. A year ago it would have been a strong 5 stars,...

Shrunken shrimps: We arrived at the restaurant happy and excited to eat our number one favorite food since 6 years of living in Berlin. Upon arrival we ask if can sit at one of the red tables, the restaurant is literally empty. The waiter looked at us as we were from Mars and said very arrogantly almost irritated that we could sit wherever they decided. We order our favorite dishes and begin the process of waiting patiently for our food. When the food arrives we are met with horror. The dish ”crispy prawns” is usually served 3 crispy prawns but today we got only 1,5. When pointing this out to the waiter she said arrogantly and irritated that it wasn’t her problem and said that the shrimps isn’t ”all the same” and that she wouldn’t do anything about it. So apparently the usual 3 crispy prawns had now shrunken into 1,5. On top of that the usual 0,33 cola has now also shrunken to a 0,2 cola and still costs 3€. I never thought I would say this but I won’t be returning to this establishment. If I could I would give it 0 stars but one is the minimum. 6€ for 1,5...
