VeganBackyard — Restaurant in Berlin

A decent attempt at US/international style vegan food but very German in its mild and somewhat bland flavors - don't be afraid of spice, citrus, hot sauce, pepper, etc! The tofu tasted like German-style supermarket tofu, not the real stuff.

The ambiance is quite generic and almost medically sterile with a random English neon sign (and name?). Feels like it was designed by a suburban Instagram influencer in 2010. Did not want to linger.

EDIT: I actually gave specific feedback about what I ate and what I did not like. Not sure what a "mediocre" review even means. Being a "young business" means you should be open to feedback. Instead of listening, you took it personally and made ironic statements. Try therapy instead of putting your bourgeoisie rage on...

Where does one go in Berlin at 11:30 Sunday morning for a nice vegan Belgian waffle? HERE! Found this quite by accident since it's not in my normal area in Berlin. Small, straightforward, pleasant, simple food and service. Delightful! I'm a horrible sucker for pumpkin spice, which I even use in my lentils -- try it, and they were offering a pumpkin spice latte... which was truly a lovely surprise because it had not just the spices, but also pumpkin puree, making the taste wonderful. The waffle with warm cherries and vanilla sauce was exactly what I wanted after the "usual" vegan Vietnamese and sushi I normally have here. The cutest place to eat in berlin!! it is all vegan and mouthwatering!! me and my non vegan boyfriend went there for a luch during our stay in berlin! we loved everything so we have eaten a lot. the waffels where out of this world crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. but really everything was great! i recommend going there with a lot of appetit and trying a bit of everything! the workers where really friendly and welcoming. the place is so cute and in a nice a bit calmer area of berlin.Thank you i love that places like...
